Quoting Deli_kizin: Quoting heybey: çekirge bir sıçrar iki sıçrar üçüncüde yakalınir derler bizim buralarda hiç duydun mu?
Haven't you ever heard that among us....... (I'm lost). |
I thought it would be like this:
The grasshoper jumps once, jumps twice, but the third time it gets caught, thats what we say around here, did you ever hear of that?
Meaning (just a guess)
You can't get away with doing the same (bad?) thing all the time, after a while you'll get caught. |
Gosh, I'd never get this without punctuation and quotation marks in the original sentence..

Thank you all! It has been fun reading all your explanations...I gather that the thing about the grasshopper is a sort of proverb. Again Teşekküur ederim!

Quoting shehzad: " Senin edin ne" |
Should be "Senin adın ne?" which means "What's your name?"
Would you mind starting a new thread when your translation request has nothing to do with the previous one?
