If they meant
"Yine eve geldim" Again I came home
Doesn't this whole contraversy go away?
(because i've confused the two words listening to songs"

Quoting gezbelle: i meant, can you use "yeni" to mean "just"?
i thought "yeni" means "new".
for "just" i would have used "sadece"... |
"Yeni" means "just" here. "Sadece" in this sentence wouldn't have the right meaning I think.
"Sadece yemek yemek için eve geldim" - "I only came home to eat." This has a different meaning.
I wonder, could "tam" be used as a synonym for "yeni" here?
"Tam eve geldim" - I just came home.
Doğru mu, yanlış mı?

To avoid confusion, the book could have written it in this way:
Yeni eve geldim: I came to the new house.
Eve yeni geldim: I just came home.
You cannot use 'sadece' because this word hasnt got the meaning of time in it.
--
I mostly hear people say 'eve yeni geldim', not the other form, however I dont think it is wrong. If Sevgi has bought a new house, I will understand her meaning. But to avoid confusion 'Eve yeni geldim' means I just got home.

Good explanation. But in my opinion it is not clear.
Yeni eve geldim;
may be : I came to the "new" house
or
may be : I "just" came home.
Because Turkish is flexible, well... not a good thing always as you see in this example, you may change the places of words without disturbing relationships between them. But you should keep the order when there is not relationship between words.
I usually get this one as "JUST came home"
"Eve yeni geldim." is the correct order for this one.
