Here is your problem Alameda  . You insist on saying I am part of this Gang of Three, and because of this you confuse MY posts with Catwoman and Femme Fatal's.
Unfortunately, so convinced of this gang that you are, you miss a fundemental point. Whilst I share Catwoman's and Femme's views on sexual equality and feminism (even then, the extent we agree differs on some points), with regard to Islam and Turkish culture, I believe I have very different views.
Perhaps next time you should check your facts before launching into a personal attack on me.

It is hypocritical to "tread carefully" Alameda. It implies you are hiding secret thoughts.
My country's government take "treading carefully" to the extreme! We are not allowed to even celebrate our country's religious days in schools now, but honour other culture's religious festivals. We are not allowed to wear a Christian cross in some establishments, while it is perfectly acceptable for other cultures to wear religious or cultural apparal.
Personally, I feel this "treading carefully" approach does not promote a peaceful multi-cultural society. I prefer to know what people think, their criticisms and ideas. It is not insulting to criticise. I have asked many questions about Islam on this site, and sometimes criticised some aspects of Islamic culture (the sexism aspects), but I have listened to the other opinions and along the way, have CHANGED some of mine. Is this not a positive thing?
Your careful, "treading carefully" approach is far more sinister to me!
