Ayla I think It's not that offensive.

"Moruk, sen ne anlatiyosun bole surekli, ya hec anlamiyoz seni"

Or,

"Moruk, sen ne anlatiyorsun surekli boyle ya, hic anlamiyoruz seni."

My try:

Buddy, you keep talking about something, but we can't understand you at all.

The dictionary on this Turkish Class site says:

MORUK

slang
1. old man; dotard.
2. father, old man.

In English I wouldn't want to be called a dotard. It implies being past it - a bit like getting alzheimers.
Maybe we should get the dictionary changed???

Moruk is an offensive term for old people, but in this particular case, Moruk means "Fellow", or "Buddy."

MORUK is not a nice word in any context. I am yet to see anyone decent, who would not object to his own father being called moruk by others.
