Severim or seviyorum? Don't confuse me please.

actually they both same. but if i talked about a known kitty i would say 'seviyorum' like 'catwoman'ı seviyorum''

The aorist tense is supposed to relate to things that happen for all time instead of just at this point in time. But why would we say seni seviyorum to a lover and not seni severim. Our love for our partner is not something just at this moment in time......

(sorry if asking about use of tenses is getting away from the topic of this thread!)

when i started to learn english i was thinking about the same things as you told, why would u say ' i want you' instead of 'im wanting you' or ' i know you instead of im knowing you' ... must be present continious tense in turkish... so bod when u speak turkish forget the english grammer and what you hear or see is true i did the same and started to practice and it took me few months to speak english but still learning

Yabanci diller = foreign languages

"Yabanci dilleri çok severim" = I love foreign languages

" Sevdigim yabanci diller " = the foreign languages that I love

"The foreign language I love the most is turkish"
(Benim) en sevdigim yabanci dil Turkçedir

" What I love most in my life are foreign languages"
"Hayatimda en sevdigim sey yabanci diller "

Do you love foreign languages?
Yabanci dilleri sever misin?

Dont you love foreign languages?
Yabanci dilleri sevmez misin?

Why dont you love foreign languages?
Niye yabanci dilleri sevmiyorsun?

" I know that you like foreign languages"
" senin Yabanci dilleri sevdigini biliyorum"

"I didnt know that you liked foreign languages"
"Senin yabanci dilleri sevdigini bilmiyordum"

"Why didnt you tell me that you loved foreign languages?"
Bana yabanci dilleri sevdigini Niye soylemedin? (emin degilim)

Please MarioninTurkey or anyone else, correct me, thank you so much!

Sübstitüsyon talimlerinizi seviyorum.

(I love your substitution drills.)

And what the correct expression for "substitution drill"?

I believe it is not true.

I really wonder who said or how you found "sübstitüsyon". It may be used as a term in a science branch, or by someone who doesn't care Turkish and did not try to find its real meaning in Turkish. But I am sure it is not really Turkish

Actually, I looked it up and I could not find a equivalent word. Maybe someone can find and say it to us. But I think it can be said like this for here: "kelime değiştirme" or "cümle değiştirme" because thread says "change the word" or "sentence".

talim is a bit old usage, alıştırma can also be used.

"kelime değiştirme alıştırmaları"
