Dear caliptrix,

I think it should be "the one who doesn't come".

But to me this sounds a bit artificial..

You don't come here anymore",
“the one who doesn't come",
These are good sentences.
But it is understood that there is no good match in the English language for this Turkish language sensitive sentence, unfortunately..
No one can translate it easily into English language accordingly.

You are very right, and I'm afraid that's the horrible and utterly frustrating thing about translating poetry..

I'd stick to:
"You don't come anymore,
you don't ask about me/look for me anymore"

"You don't come anymore,
you don't ask about me/look for me anymore, WHY?
I see you have forgotten me"

These sentences are the best ...

Yılgün, I don't agree there is not an English equivalent ... we just say it differently and a literal translation doesn't work.

Reading the first page, this was the English translation that immediately came to mind.

Then I get on to page 2 and find Gümüş has done it already...... Good one Gümüş!

like "DOKUNABİLİR MİSİNİZ DUYGULARIMA, HÜZNÜME VE YALNIZLIĞIMA ELLERİNİZLE?" = "CAN YOU TOUCH MY FEELINGS, MY SADNESS, AND MY LONELINESS WITH YOUR HANDS"...
IS there any sentence - poetic- in the english literature like this?
How could you translate it?
