If you have money, don't waste time with trains. Turkish trains are not comfortable for now.

Bursa is on the flight route to Istanbul...
Simply ask the pilot to drop you in Bursa ....

Absolute care is recommended to avoid Uludag peak...

Hey Lady_A!

I've been to Bursa 2 times now, both times by boat. It's an excellent trip, not very difficult to get there .

From Istanbul to Bursa it will take about 3 hours by boat if you go from Yenikapi (istanbul) to Yalova (bursa). From there it's still about 1 hour by bus/car. *Cars are allowed on the boat*

You can also go to the new boat'station', which is also in Bursa. I don't quite remember the name of the place, but they will know in Yenikapi . From Istanbul to that place it will take 1 hour by boat, and also an hour by bus again to the center of bursa.

Price information: The 3-hour trip is a bit cheaper, don't exactly remember, but the other one costs 20ytl for a single if I remember correctly.

About Bursa and the Uludag itself: It's absolutely beautiful!!! Bursa is a great city, comparable to Istanbul. You definitely have to go to the place from where you can see the whole of Bursa, and you should also take the chairlift which takes you up to the Uludag itself .

If you want to know more about how to get there and all send me a pm.. it's late here and my mind has stopped working .

Good luck and have a good time there!

The probem for Lady is to reach Yenikapi...
she need to take the taxi, which will cost aroud 20YTL i guess if the taxi driver doesnt try to steal her, to reach easy or she should use the complex ways of public transportation which would be hard for her...

Yalove itself is a city dear

and dont you dare to compare Istanbul to another city in Turkey!!

and here the website of boats from istanbul..
