Quote: The probem for Lady is to reach Yenikapi...
she need to take the taxi, which will cost aroud 20YTL i guess if the taxi driver doesnt try to steal her, to reach easy or she should use the complex ways of public transportation which would be hard for her...
|
I took a bus from Taksim square to Yenikapi. It wasn't that hard actually! You have a mouth to ask where the bus is leaving from right? I had to ask about 4 times, and then I got right one! (I can even tell you from here where it is if you want to know ).
I think the public transport in istanbul is not that difficult actually. People are very helpful if you're a tourist, which makes it easier to find places .

I am the citizen of Istanbul dear you can believe me i know much more alternative ways to reach Bursa but it must be simplest and the easiest for her...
In winter travel with a ship... and to go Taksim first with Havas... then walking through the square and going to the bus stations on right... or also crossing the street and waiting at the station opposite to where you land... waiting for buses for Yenikapi... and reaching there... and you cant imagine how crowded are the public busses in winter... and think also about what time she will arrive... its all sth to add into account...
what i say is so simple:
Land from plane.... take a metro...(1,5YTL) and there you are in otogar... and take a bus... around 30-40 YTL... also you will be in a warm bus... with service all the time and also you will have ship tour too where you can feed seaguls

Agree with Sui.
Why struggle? You will spend almost as much, if not more. PLUS the ferry from Yenikapı to Mudanya goes very infrequently (it was only once a day last month, I don't know the timetable for December).
If you get on a bus from a company like Uludağ they even have service buses that will take you from Bursa bus station up the mountain to the ski resort, or into the centre of town if you want to stay there (as the ski resort hotels are more expensive).

Hmm.. yeah if you're not planning to stay in Istanbul then this would be a better way . Personally I don't want to go by bus anymore in Turkey (if I don't have to). But has to do with other things..
