Girls,
Its lovely to read your chats about these dudu's - there are plenty, lets be honest, and its good to hear that they are not only turkish but italian and even british (trust me!)
But, be honest - we are all adults here and a bit of flirting and flattery (within reason) does everyones ego good doesnt it? Turksih men are easy on the eye and so long as we are sensible then i say its good to have a bit of attentiion sometimes!
Am i right - or horribly wrong?

It's good so long as the woman knows not to take it seriously..If a woman hasn't been warned about it before (and even some have and still fall) it could become a majow heartbreak. Of course when Dudu makes woman A feel like she's "bitanemAskimhayatimherseryimtatlim' etc to find there's about 8-50 other 'bitanemAskimhayatimherseryimtatlim"s it makes woman A not feel so "special" anymore, and suddenly it's worse than getting flattery in the first place..hehe..Atleast that's my opinion. I've been tricked by the DuDu before just to be douped later on..I can truly admit I felt better being spared the complaments.. Yes it is nice having a nice looking guy pouring the sweetness on, but only if the woman knows better than to take it seriously

I completely agree..

well, teaschip you are totally right of course and in some situations i agree with you, its often worse having your confidence knocked or even your heart broken and forewarned is certainly forearmed.
Still, it seems everyone here is well aware of that....!

Simply not true. You only have to read the translation forums to see that women are sending money, phones, promising visas etc. to these men. Stay a bit longer and you start to see what happens when their requests for money and/or visas are refused

Unfortunately, because of the very nature of this type of emotional blackmail, women are unlikely to believe that THEIR relationship is anything but true love. We will always get angry comments protesting that we are being cruel and insensitive, but if we were talking about anyother type of con, it would be a different matter.

Incidently, can I just make a correction to an earlier post. This type of tourist worker IS almost unique to Turkey (with the possible exception of Egypt). While women, of course, have holiday romances in other countries, they are not asked for money and material goods.

I am frankly surprised it still happens. There is A LOT of publicity and jokes about Turkish tourism workers in the UK press and TV. Its well known what they are like - so why do women STILL fall for these men?

i dont understand why turkish men are judged according to tourist workers in this site! they are just 1 % of men. i wonder cant you ever imagine a turkish man who doesnt die for money or visa?

Ciko - if you read most of the posts I think you will find that NOBODY is saying that all Turkish men are like this. We are talking about "dudus" - tourism workers!

Yes I know - and frankly I think you are wrong. Most people do realise that it is just tourism workers. I think Catwoman posted a similar comment earlier in this thread.
