Quoting Elisabeth: If she would have said something to him like, "HEY GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY COOKIES", then he could have told her that they were his cookies and then she would have apologized. I think the lesson here is SPEAK UP WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE! People are to busy trying not to look bad or say the wrong thing or be impolite...that is my take on it anyway. |

its better to clarify, mrx, than to keep quiet.
the situation would be akward, but then you always have a chance to apologise, kiss hands if necessary.

the story goes that she forgot she put the biscuits in her purse. maybe it is good to check out more posibilities before speaking 'up'.
this situation, while waiting in a VIP room at the airport could be most probably an outcome of a mistake, rather than the unpleasant surprise of meeting a rude, impolite person or a hungry bumper.
if we continously spot abuse in minor things we risk to loose flexibility and not to distinguish real abuses. or we can become to tired by all those minor struggles and unable to face it properly. or worse, we can become abusers. which, in my opinion, equals with loosing a battle.
