Seeing as your founders don't feel like joining in and posting at the moment, you could hold the fort for them and initiate in the new girls asking about Turkish guys to your 'dudu' awareness club lol

A "dudu" is just the Turkish version of what an American would call a 'Player'. Basically a man who is full of 'sh..' and trying to get sex only. My Turkish man said he loved me within the first week, but he isn't a dudu...so you can't always tell by that alone. There are usually several factors.

Is 'dudu' a widely used term? If I use it in Turkey or some where else will it be OK? I mean I never heard of such word before.

Why did other members use this word in this forum? Is there a suggestion that someone is dudu?
Actually I want to laugh when I pronounce this word It sounds funny

nope, it is a secrect word...sssshhhh...

a dudu is a guy that says he loves you after only a day/a week of meeting you, asks for money, a visa, and has several other girlfriends, etc.

you may need to search the old threads, to see some examples of dudus...

Actually it's a slang term coined right here on TLC.

In proper Turkish it means parrot. In Ottoman Turkish it was a word for woman. The popular Turkish singer, Tarkan has a album by the name Dudu. In it he means woman.

Did you know you can click on any word here and it will take you to a Turkish/English dictionary? Try it here: dudu

true, i agree with this. just because he said he loved you within the first week, doesn't mean he is an instant dudu. i mean i can remember what thehandsom said in some other thread. something like,(not exact words) he saw someone and knew that she loved her and followed her around, etc. (not sure if he was joking though )
my case is almost the same with Badiabdancer74. there are other factors to consider before you can call him a dudu. i think the first indication would be that he will start asking you for money. maybe credit for his phone, then after more, and more...

I think it's pretty safe to say that not one woman who has fallen for a dudu thought he was a dudu until the blow was struck.

Other things to look out for: (1) Men are visual animals. Do you look old enough to be his mother? If he is young, is fully sighted, has all his limbs and is falling madly in love with someone who is phyically not compatible then he is looking for a fairy-godmother to look after him from afar (money, telephone credits, electrical goods). (2) Communication. If you are barely able to communicate in a non-physical way and he makes no effort to learn your language, then forget it. (3) Family/friends. How long before he introduces you to them in person or by phone? (4) Excuses. How many does he make? He has no credits on his phone, he's working too hard, he's been too busy to call, he's depressed through lack of money/job. My list can go on forever.

Nah... I was lucky mate. Even though i am older than hubby, there is no way anyone could tell Ok, so he's 6.4 tall and atheltic while I am 5.4 and roundish - but still I can wear 4 inch heels and lose a stone or two so that problem solved too. He speaks both French and English - so no communication probs there. We are both the same religion, have similar cultural background AND he always found the money to call me, has always worked, and was never too busy for me. And its the same after 3 years married life... OK so it could all turn sour tomorrow but for now...I have good experience of spotting non-dudus..

Canim... all these evolutionary theories are pure speculations and more often than not, they are disproved with time. There is no way to prove that evolution definitely was directed by only certain factors because we don't know exactly what factors were important. There are many problems with that article you quoted from "seduction labs".
1. If reproductivness/strength/power is to be assessed by visual characteristics, then females should also assess males based on their appearance and they would want to choose the strongest male. So being "visual" is a human quality, not a male quality.
2. If we are talking about humans, males don't want to have children with all females they find attractive. When they do want to have children, they also have a parenting "gene" and unlike some other animals, they take care of their children. So they don't want to "procreate in an unlimited way just to have as many kids as possible".
3. If we are talking about monkeys, females are NOT faithful to only one male. They mate with many males every day. They are NOT looking for one male that would take care of the offspring.
4. there are many other problems that I don't have time to talk about...

The second article fro neuroscience: what they did there was they measured level of brain activity when a person was performing a specific task (in this case, looking) and they found a higher activity than in females. Baby humans are born with a very undeveloped brain, highly unmyelinated. 90% of the connections between axons form after birth and are highly influenced by environment. If you look at male sexual education - it is by watching porn, a behavior completely based on visual stimulation, so there - that's how they become "more visual".
Why haven't females done the same thing? Because they were/are economically dependent on other people, esp on a prospective husband, so they can't afford to care about looks. Women who are independent, do care about looks.

Murphy's Love Laws...for those infatuated in Turkish boys
1. All the good ones are taken.
2. If the person isn't taken, there's a reason. (corr. to 1)
3. The nicer someone is, the farther away (s)he is from you.
4. Brains x Beauty x Availability = Constant.
5. The amount of love someone feels for you is inversely proportional to how much you love them.
6. Money can't buy love, but it sure gets you a great bargaining position.
7. The best things in the world are free --- and worth every penny of it.
8. Every kind action has a not-so-kind reaction.
9. Nice guys(girls) finish last.
10. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
11. Availability is a function of time. The minute you get interested is the minute they find someone else.
