Quoting kedycan: Quoting adonis: i agree with u Alameda. if Bülent Ersoy hadn't got a different sexual preference, the common interest to her sentences would have been less.
in general Bülent Ersoy is right, but the neo-liberals and supporters of pkk MUST NOT exploit the sentences of B. Ersoy. |
all this uproar cos of her different sexual preference? well, the uproar is cos of the statement itself... (see the lynching campaign against ahmet kaya when he said he would compose a kurdish song in his next album...he was straight!!!)
and if u ask how the fascist harrassment and lynching campaign crying for blood of her is carried out, yes you r right then, all is carried upon simply based on her sexual choice(!). cos they have no other arguments (see AKP deputy's statement, "well yes im not as couragous as to have my p...s cut. and i have three SONS..." what a tragedy.. what a parliamentarian!
|
you misundertood my entry kedycan. what i mean to say that Bülent Ersoy's sexual preference played a key role and and a factor to face reactions. Ahmet Kaya's issue and Bulent Ersoy's issue are very different... just think about it.
i'm also castigating the sentences of AKP parliament to Bülent Ersoy. it's very ugly. see the quality (!) of our partliaments...

I don't think the gender reassignment of this celebrity had anything to do with the issue. However, such a famous person making such a statement about such a sensitive issue is bound to cause controversy.
Famous people often use their status to heighten public interest in political issues. Whether one thinks this is a laudible thing to do depends on one's point of view on the issue aired.

OMG, what kind of police state is this!!!
"An Istanbul prosecutor has launched an inquiry into statements made by Turkey's most popular transsexual singer for alienating the public from military service, a crime punishable by six months to two years in prison."
