If you love someone,it means that you find something on her/him like a pretty smile, beautiful eyes,hair,well-cared tooth etc..Couples can argue with eachother but they know that
there is love everytime and nobody can deny it in realitionship..Love doesnt know any borders..

Sadly what you say is true. In my experience, when I have been in-love, it has been mutual but one of us has felt more than the other. I have decided it is better to be the one who is loved more, than to feel too much love. If you are the one who is loved more, there is no jealousy, no enless trying to please, you are accepted and loved for who you are

Yes that seems to be how it goes - still human nature being what it is - we are always optimistic at the start of a new relationship - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - that is life....

I don´t think of it as a natural law - that one loves more than the other. But I know that it is common...like a balance-thing that comes and goes... I think that it might be about power and control - more than about real love...

...if your partner is losing interest...be cooler than your partner...and he/she will see you with new eyes... Stupid, but true, I think...but not really about love, huh?

My best advice to the ones suffering from being the ones who love more: Play according to player!

By the way...an italian sociologist Alberoni has written a wonderful book on love and it is free to download as a pdf at his homepage!
I strongly recommend it! Alberoni has some interesting ideas about why we fall in love...and what love is!

Is love a race? Or a competition? What's important? Who loves or is being loved more? I don't think that you care about these when you are really in love. You just can't help falling more and giving more.
We usually start counting the losses after the love grows old or fades away. And only then we advice ourselves that we should be more careful next time. But so what? I, to speak for my part, tend to forget all the promises i made to myself and jump in the chaos again, as soon as love knocks the door again

Hey I'm with you Sophie!! I was following Aslan's advice there - kind of a joke To be honest, I don't think you should analyse love - it should remain mysterious and magical!

When you hold yourself back from loving - you lock the door to your heart - someone comes along and tries to break down that door - you open it a tiny bit - allow that person near - and just when you start to allow yourself to love again - the other one slams the door on your heart - and so shatters your heart and your illusions once again...
so you pick up the pieces - hold yourself back from loving...lock the door....(etc.)
The circle of living.. :-S

According to me:
85% of love occurs in your mind. It consists of your imagination and creation. It's like a puzzle, when the person fits to the criteria in your mind, you start to love him, and the person becomes the part of your mind. He's just the source and it lights the fuse of the love. And after a point, it becomes independent from the person you are in love. There becomes two beings, the real one and the image of the real one in your mind. And sometimes, you go so far with this that the real one and the one you have created are not similar. Although the real one changes time after time and doesn't fit to your preferences anymore, you still go on loving the one inside you. It's like an addiction of the mind.
OK, I have become too philosophic.
