Do not refer to people by "bu", it's not polite. Just say "Eşim" pointing slightly at him with your head or with your hand to the person you're introducing to.
You can say "bu" for children, in that case:

"Eşim x (his name), bu da kızım x."

Thanks mltm. I will try my hardest to sound less foreign! Unfortunately at my age my brain wants to think in English even when writing Turkish!

But it's quite good. Just be careful about the word orders, and do not repeat "ben", "benim". It's already clear from the verb or noun suffixes, it just makes you sound foreign.

But yet you said-'ben iyiyim'. Surely the ben is not necessary.

Ah, non there you have to say "ben iyiyim".
It's in fact hard to understand but very easy to apply.
If your answer comes just after the person asking you "how are you", (nasılsın?), you reply "iyiyim", and not "ben iyiyim", but if you say that you're fine a bit later like in this case, you say "ben iyiyim", it emphasizes the state of your being fine.
