It is good to be a woman:

1. We got off the Titanic first.
2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynecological disorder excuses.
3. Taxis stop for us.
4. We don´t look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo.
6. We don´t have to pass gas to amuse ourselves.
7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know.
8. We can congratulate our teammate without ever touching her rear end.
9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.
12. If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will look like an idiot.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears.
14. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren´t listening anyway.

Quoting cynicmystic

It is just great to be a man:

1. We play with our selves non-stop period - and thanks for the internet for the stimulation. Otherwise it would have to be grandpa´s paperback playboy collection.

2. We save girls off the Titanic. We are heroic.

3. Taxis never stop for us, but we catch them at the red light anyway...

4. We don´t have the goodie goodies to shake silly. So we look funny when we dance. (but give me the boobies and the backside lipid, and I will booty shake for you.)

5, We invented the bikini, the high heel, as well as the thong. Visible panty lines are our speciality and we dress the chickies just as we want them to be dressed. Less is more & transparent is the new black.

6. We think girls find us terribly attractive when we pass gas & kakkle to death. We ingest hummus before we gas though, it is all about the flavour.

7. We don´t have to have brazilian waxing... We demand the girls to do so though. Smooth as a baby´s bum is our gender motto. No hippies with enough hair to knit a sweater as far as we are concerned.

8. We congratulate our teammmates by touching their backs as long as they are football players... Otherwise it is a no no...

9. We have the ability to undress girls. We first dress them through gay fasion designers, and undress them through macho acts... We are experts at that. (Refer to Justin Timberlake - he says he will have you naked by the end of the song.) That´s why we seranade btw - for the nookie.

10. We can never talk to the opposite sex without picturing them naked. It is in our nature, we just peel those cuties with our eyes like ripe bananas. Then we go on to tell our boddies about the nookie conquest.

11. We marry someone 20 years older and we call it the milf factor.

12. We will never regret getting pierced as long as it is about Pierce Brosnan. We also assume that girls with tongue rings are good at oral. Yet to be proven, if you ask me...

13. There are times that chocolate can lead to the nookie. Hence, the flavoured condoms.

14. We can make comments about how silly women are because they just love it... They just luv us silly boys being ourselves farting all over the place harrassing all those nookies.

It was unnecessary for you to post your "thoughts" on women Cynicmistic because you have already shown us what you feel about them in your posts.

I found it very interesting that when Femme made a joke about your photographs,  it sparked off an onslaught of derogatory sexual posts by you.  Perhaps you dont realise it but men who use this way of dealing with conflict with women fit the psychological profile of rapists and wife beaters.  I realise that much of your hatred is cultural but it can also occur when boys are forced to stop showing affection to their mothers at an early age and "be a man".

The women (including Meltem) who thought your posts funny perpetuate this misogyny and help confirm your narrow minded view that women are merely sexual objects who should not step out of line.  The ones who object you call "prudes".

Sorry if you find posts where someone calls another´s genitals as stinking like fish (just because she dared hurt his pride) then you have a strange sense of humour Meltem.  It has nothing to do with defending Femmeous (who is more than capable of doing that herself) and if she wanted to describe Cynicmistics penis in the same way I would object also.

It wasn´t his posts that were funny, it was the spectacle of Cynicmystic and thehandsom, two grown men,  arguing "in the playground" that was funny.  It always amuses me, the way Turkish TC men seem to get so offended and insulted so very quickly and begin to scream like banshees or cry like babies.  The obscenity that C aimed at Femmeous was disgusting and wasn´t funny, but there were other facets that were.

As for C´s post here on this thread, it seems to me it wasn´t his opinion but a deliberate act to wind certain people up and I´m afraid he´s already hooked you Aenigma. Job done as far as he´s concerned.  He´s found an irritation and he´s inflaming it quite successfully.  No I don´t agree with that  and those particular posts of his are best  ignored for what they are, rubbish.

I think C´s political posts are extremely well put together and I agree with his main argument regarding  thehandsom, that (in the politics forum) he posts material in order to attract heated debate from certain other members.  If H wants to do that let him, and if people want to challenge him about it, let them too.  H may dispute this charge  but it´s the way I interpret his political comment.  It´s not so much his views but the way he goes about goading then attempting to ridicule.

Having said all of that, I enjoy reading many of the arguments that H participates in because it gives me, a non Turk, an incite into the history of the conflicts in Turkey.  It doesn´t help me to make any judgement about these conflicts though as there seems to be so much evidence that can be produced for either argument.

As I read the exchanges it was the visions I conjured up in my own mind that amused.  Two silly, egotistical men determined to have the last word.

Perhaps there may also have been some private pickling going on.  Liver pickling.

Yes I saw that you were not offended. However, many women are offended when this kind of demeaning sexual reference is used to put us in our place.

I dont defend you, I defend women...

This I agree with. I was trying to think of how to put this point across.  Thanks

Well maybe SOME of them do! lol

Sorry, but women who enjoy all the benefits of equality but continue to perpetuate stereotypical ideas about gender, deserve to be put in burkas, lose their vote, be beaten by their husbands, raped and enjoy all the other benefits of a male dominated society

 +1

well said

i often watch russian humour shows (i love it) where they primitively humiliate women. and women participate as sex objects. and they altogether laugh at those primitve jokes. i just ask myself questions why dont women see the problem there?

Good... perhaps you have an idea of what REAL liberated women feel when this misogynistic crap is uttered and people like you laugh at it

I´m repeating it in case it can remind you that sometimes you need to make more effort to get more insight.

I did not laugh at it saying "ohhh how funny it´s, I want more more" Laughing is another thing, the background of it and why you find funny is another thing. Then when people see someone falling down in front of cameras, they are in fact such evill people who take pleasure from people getting harm.

It was not the words he used I found funny, but it was him using it against "femmeous" was funny.Diamond cuts diamond.

And it was disgusting, but it was about "smell" I cannot get how you see it as a attack against all women and find an occasion to show how much more "liberated woman" you are free from men oppression.

I would agree more if you found it offensive, but you find it offensive against women. Are you obsessed?

but you see women like mltm canli libra peacetrain or alameda didnt get offended,

I think I´ve already documented what I did and didn´t find funny and the references to fish and sexual acts were definitely not funny.  Now the donkey references were very funny.  And also thehandsom as a non native English speaker, sometimes has an endearing turn of phrase which makes his posts all the more interesting to read. (this is not a criticism of H btw).

I am refering to deleted posts Peacetrain.  It has nothing to do with any arguing between theHandsom and him.  Until yesterday, I found Cynicmystic´s posts good reading (whether I agreed or not) and funny to read their arguments too.

I will take your point on board when I see you defending comments about Western women here...

Sorry but I don´t quite understand what your point is.  I understood you to be commenting about a nation not a gender.

You seem to be making a comment about me and what I do/do not comment about, which is effectively putting words into my mouth and trying to make readers build an incorrect view of my views.

Everyone on this site has their own little ´pet´ issues that they like to comment on.  That´s not to say they agree or disagree with every other comment on the site that they don´t address.

You have no way of knowing what my views are on feminist issues because I simply won´t give stupid men, on this site, the pleasure of thinking they have hit a nerve.  That´s the way I deal with it and you are welcome to deal with it in your way. I don´t think I´ve ever criticised your views on womens issues.   If I have strong issues I want to deal with I visit appropriate sites and I have posted about a few of those sites here.

In the past, you have made comments about ´silence´ being a stand against the points you have made.  You fail to realise that it could just be the opposite.  Then again, it could just be that these debates aren´t the primary interest for people on this particular site.

It seems you are not immune to stereotyping people yourself.

I agree with alameda on this.

If this kind of jokes will not be tolerated and will be classified as sexist, then it should apply to jokes about both genders, or we need to modify the rules to "sexism against women". Otherwise, the rules itself will be sexist.

If this kind of jokes will not be tolerated and will be classified as sexist, then it should apply to jokes about both genders, or we need to modify the rules to "sexism against women". Otherwise, the rules itself will be sexist.

do you really think that cynics post sounded like a joke to you?

Well 4,10 and 15 are certainly true of my husband!  - I thought it was quite funny and in lots of threads on this post men have given as good as they have got.  But cynics post was aimed to annoy on the back of his earlier posts in other threads - thats my opinion anyway

Yes, but a bif difference is the fact he was reacting to an insult...there is a difference. Different people have different tolerances to abusive behaviour. If you don´t like being insulted, don´t throw them around. "What goes around comes around. "

I live in CA, and have had extensive training in harassment issues...and I can tell you, something like this posted in a work place could easily be an expensive court case.

I agree cynicmysitc´s post did go over...but the original post in this thread was a provacative and sexist post. What if it were reversed? It´s insulting to men...actually, it´s insulting to women too. What goes around comes around. I mean, really....look at these. I don´t find them funny at all.

4. We don´t look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren´t listening anyway

As with everything else, there´s a difference between joking about a dancing frog, and ´joking´ about using and abusing women. These two are not even comparable. If anybody said anything even closely as racist as cynic´s post was sexist, few people would have issues discerning how offensive it is, especially that we live in a sexist and racist world.

Are you justifying that kind of insult now Alameda?  Or only when it suits you?

I wonder what forum you were reading on Friday, because (on this occasion!) Femme was hardly provoking him! This demeaning sexual onslaught was brought about merely because of a comment about photography.  What has continued since, and yesterday, is as a result of, not the cause of, his actions

Why dont i listen to anyone (including two admins) about forming my opinion or what ?!

Ý was accused of letting which post exactly and liking it ?

Friday´s or yesterday´s, or the post in that thread ?!

Ý already answered questions about yesterday´s and that thread post, about friday, i wasnt here and when i came back, i deleted posts alright about that, reposted post.

Actually i dont know nor understand the problem im accuused along with alameda and LL with ?

Should i carry a sign and say what i support or not support, or should i post in forum here the pm´s i´ve exchanged about the issue with the members ?!

PM means private message, it ÝS private so is what i said to him/ her.

Ý wont come and post it in forum, and said i said this or that.

Ý said what i wanted to the member in question and that is end of the story to me, i wont take it to the open, and i wont also come and say i have deleted this or that to prove anything.

So, how can you make guesses like we do not care about these kind of posts and let them stay on the forum? When I saw them, they were already deleted! And canlý was not around.

Truth is that not every single mod has to be equally sensitive to everything. The reason we have many mods with different backgrounds is so that different mods can take care of different issues.
