‎can anyone please translate this phrase by Mevlana:
"Sevgi bir ilişkiden doğar. Bir kimse annesini ekmek ve helva verdiği için sevmez, belki aralarındaki ilişkiden dolayı sever. Menfaat üzerine kurulan sevgi perişanlık ve pişmanlık doğurabilir. Oysa gerçek ilişkiden doğan sevgide ne dünyada ne de ahırette pişmanlık yoktur."

Thanks

My Try:
Love is born from a connection. One doesn’t love his mother because she gives him bread or halva but because of the connection there is between them (the mother and the child). Love which is based on benefit may create misery and regret. But there is no regret in love which is born from a real connection, not in this world or in the hereafter.

Makes no sense. did you use google translate??

If you send the Turkish we could do a better job!

My guess: on Sunday the electricity company of Niğde will be doing upgrading work, so there will be no electricity in the Central Campus and Student Dorm on Sunday between 10:00 and 16:00.

these sentences are not correct but i understood what they mean

there will be cut of the electricity in Niğde Medaş from 10:00 to 16:00 due to some maintenance.

Sorry MarioninTurkey, i didn´t notice that you had already translated it.

 No problem

BTW, just looked on their website. Medaş is the equivalent of ayedaş (the electricity company here in İstanbul Asian side: Anadolu Yakası Eletrik Dağıtım Anonim Şirketi). It covers a number of central provinces such as Aksaray, Karaman, Niğde, Nevşehir and Aksaray.

Hi!!

I am new to this site and am in the very early stages of learning Turkish!! I have heard the word Tosunum (if that is how it is spelt?!) and I think it is basically a word that Turkish men use to say that they are ´manly, god-like´??? Am I right or on completely the wrong track?!
