How easy would it be to get a job in Turkey, with a little bit of knowledge of Turkish?

I plan to move there to start my life over again, but I only have enough money between hotels and food for a one way flight. Since I am comming over with no job and enough money to get by, I think it will be hard (most likley impossible) to convince the government to give me a residence permit

I take it you have been in touch with the Turkish consulate/embassy to check visa requirements and how long you have to have lived in Turkey before you can apply for residency etc?  And that you can legally work in Turkey?  Sounds like a non-starter to me.

Why don´t you refer back to this thread?  Quite a lot of information contained within.

It seems a bit naive to move to a foreign country and not have any back up.....at least have enough money to get back home.  It is difficult for Turks to find employment in Turkey.....even more difficult for foreigners.  We have a classmate who has been in Turkey for several months now with no luck in finding a job.  I am not saying it is impossible, but it is very difficult.

Well forgot to add I appllied to Universities, because I read (or perhaps mis-read) that If you have a student visa, you cannot get a work permit, so thats why I have a tight budget and when I get my degree hopefully the economy will be better, but right now college grads are finding it hard to get a job.

Has anybody gone to Bosphorus Univeristy, I applied there and hopefully that will be the one I go to.
