My friend (girl) just had a son - and I have bought some nice presents and a lovely card to give them when I arrive this weekend.

I would like to write a greeting, but needs to get it translated. If there is anything special you have to say when a baby is born - please share with me

Dear name and name.

Congratulations with your first child. We wish you all the best now and in the future.

Enjoy your time with the little one.

Love from name and name.

Thank you very much for your attempt.

Can anyone tell me if it is correct before I write it in my greetingcard?

sýcak ve dostça. We are talking about friendship thats why we cant say "ýlýk  dostluk or arkadaþlýk". We are saying in Turkey "sýcak dostluk/arkadaþlýk" it mean "so close friendship".

You can say "yakýn arkadaþ"

for example :  Ahmet ve ben yakýn arkadaþýz.

Zehra ve Ayþe yakýn arkadaþtýr. (or arkadaþlardýr)

what we usually say after someone has a baby are:

"Gözünüz aydýn" (a way of saying congratulations)

"Allah analý babalý büyütsün" (God (let him) grow with mom and dad)

"Hayýrlý bir evlat olur inþallah" (godwilling s/he will be a good child=

"Saðlýklý ve uzun bir ömür dilerim" (I wish a long and healthy life)

etc.

So I modify the thing you write, you can use it if you like.
