or:

If you say I am to read this novel on my return to Istanbul it implies you are saying that someone else says you should do it.

 either:

It would be good for me to read this novel

or:

I had better read this novel

 OK, but this sounds really old fashioned English.

Either: okumuþ olmam

Or: You ought

 I might read this novel.  (No need for the "to")

 her ne kadar zor olsa da: this is better translated as "no matter how hard it is"

No matter how hard it is, I will read this novel

 You could have read this novel

 It is better English grammar to say "I wish I had read this novel"

 Advice is a noun.

Advise is the verb you want

(PS a lot of native speakers get this wrong! It is like practice and practise.)
