Well, the Supreme Court has ruled it´s the prerogative of the individual state whether or not it wishes to acknowledge another state´s civil union; but in America they´re not quite labelled "marriages" yet, except in Hawaii, I think, though don´t quote me on that.  They´re certainly not acknowledged in the military!  I know that much!

Hey silence, why don´t you do as your name suggests and keep your backwards, ignorant trap shut.

If anyone goes to hell, it is people like you who are intolerant of someone who might not fit the teeny little mold you make for people.

An intolerent God.....how wonderful and uplifting!  I can read perfectly....and I can read between the lines too.  You think you can tell someone they are going to hell and then make yourself look good by wishing them "good"???  You crazy?  How inane!

But that´s the inherent problem with people like you .... you spout beliefs even when you claim its not YOUR belief.  What´s the point?  You are tolerent but your God isn´t?  Pffffftttttttttttttt.....rubbish!

Oh, now, I´m a follower, though most Muslims might not agree since I´m Jewish, but I digress.  I wished the couple well, but I do tacitly fear what the Almighty has in store for us; does that make me mindless?  I´m just curious, because every time I see someone who is religious being attacked by a tolerant person, the tolerant person seems very intolerant of those which religious ideologies...

Whatever, hope you two can figure out how insurance and inheritance works with civil unions because I always failed that portion in my law classes.  All the best to you both and G-D  bless everyone, until we die, and then  - only then - will we see what happens.

Until then, enjoy your wedding cake and presents, and get plenty of gift receipts!

Well, lets see....my comment was directed at the person who said that the original poster was going to go to hell but that was only because his (her???) intolerant God said so........so......does the shoe fit?

I think that statement is a total cop out.....a way to say what they think without taking responsiblity for what they said.

and by the way without even noticing you re doing the same actually.. i say "the book says that gays will go to hell" and you say "intolerent people like you will go to hell".. as god is intolerent agains the gays, you are intolerent to intolerency.. yeah.. seems like i am the only tolerent person between the three of us.. god, you and i .. oh, praises to me!

and you.. you re following the largest group on earth.. those who follows noone and nothing! good girl!

Oh my, my dear silence!!!  I never said you or anyone else was going to hell.  Perhaps you are the one with problems reading.  If you didn´t care what God thinks then what was the point of telling this person that he was going to hell?

As for what I believe in, you couldn´t possibly have any idea because I don´t run around shoving my beliefs down other peoples throats.

You tell someone they are going to hell for being gay only because it´s in your bible?   Don´t you question why your God would be so intolerant and hateful?  You see, there is a difference between being a believer and a follower....followers blindly believe without don´t ask questions.

And maybe he does.  And maybe he isn´t interested in using his personal life as a learning opportunity for others who ask incredibly personal questions.

But well now, this is all just speculation by both of us isn´t it.  I guess only time will tell.

I don´t really see the humor in it.  It´s mean.  Honestly, its not anyones business where other people go or don´t go when they die (and certainly not anyones place to say).

It just tickles me so much to know that relationships of all kinds DO happen to Turkish people.....my dear, sweet husband has assured me that there are no "gay" relationships in Turkey.

Best Wishes Mike4Emre.....I hope his family welcomes you with open minds.
