-(y)miþ is being used for a situation that someone has heard. It can be translated as: people say/its appears that/appearently/as Ý have been told.

Its difficult for me to explain in english, i wll just give some examples:

is a bit different..

sen neymissin means ´you are something I did not know before´ or ´you became something I did not know before´

It is used in situations like :

I say :

-I am the most handsome guy here

you reply

-sen neymissin be abi  (you are telling me I am big headed person here)

or I say 

-I was so jealous so that I hit the guy who was with my girlfriend

you say

-sen neymissin be abi (you did not know my jealousy and you could not think i could hit the guy)

abi means elder brother

Well i am sorry, but you said you didnt understand appear so i presumed you didnt understand which word was meaning appear. How can i know that you know the miþ past tense ? Bu forumdaki insanlar ne kadar gýcýk   

Vallah in Dutch we use appear for the translation but you dont always write it because the tense already says it itself thats why there isnt any need.

   Well...so i dont know your boyfriend i have never met him. What i can say in turkish about him is " çok çapkýnmýþ" means that appears to be, seems to be a womanizer. Im saying what you said about him.

On the other hand you are telling me about him...after hearing i say shocked : " Çok çapkýnmýþ ya!" (i just find out)...
