Quoting yakamozzz

başına belâ olmak - to trouble, to cause trouble to, to worry (MTU)

olurum should be the shorter form for oluyorum...like severim / seviyorum...

i didn´t see any asses in my dict though.......... Unsure

I know this is an old post but I just happened to notice it while looking for something else!

´severim´ and ´olurum´ aren´t ´short forms´ for ´seviyorum´ and ´oluyorum´ - they are different tenses.  The ´im/um´ ending is the Aorist tense and the ´iyorum/uyorum´ ending is for the Present Progressive.

Teşekkür ederim, and i will wait as well.

i just have a question with olurum. I cant find olurum in the dictionary, but ölürüm comes up in it´s place, and ölürüm means i die. so yeah, but thanks for helping me

ölürüm and olurum are completely dıfferent words.   Note of caution, online or print dictionaries usually do not translate conjugated words.   So when you see "ölürüm"  or olurum you have to look up "ölmek" and olmak respectively.

Literally "I always die" versus "I always am".  But "olur" can used the way we say "this is happening"  or like "its a happening thing" or even "OK"/  So then as like someone else said "Başına bela olurum" can be "I will always be trouble for you"
