Badem & İlhan Şeşen - Geceyedir Küsmelerim
|

Her şey biter, herkes gider, Gün bile kaçar gecenin koynuna saklanır, Bir tek ben kalırım benliğimden taşan, Sevgim kahve gözlerinde yankılanır, Yaşanmamışları düşünür, kuytularda üzülürüm.
Gel desen koşar, koşar gelir ellerim, Umursamaz dünyayı, umursamaz yaşamayı, Sadece seni, tek seni beklerim, Gel diyen ellerini o gözlerini özledim, Ne umut kaldı ne bir rüya, Geceyedir küsmelerim.
Yürek yanar, kalpler ağlar, Sevdam bile çırpınır, çıkış yolları arar, Bir tek gözyaşı kalır bu aşktan geriye, Ruhumda yeşerir yeniden aşk yaprakları, Yaşanmamışları düşünür kuytularda ölürüm.
Gel desen koşar, koşar gelir ellerim, Umursamaz dünyayı, umursamaz yaşamayı, Sadece seni, tek seni bekledim, Gel diyen ellerini o gözlerini özledim, Ne umut kaldı ne bir rüya, Geceyedir küsmelerim.
Translation of Text:
Everything ends, everybody goes,
Even the day escapes and hides to the arms of night,
Just I remain who overflows out himself,
My love appears at your brown eyes,
I think about the dreams and I cry at hidden corners.
If you say come, they run, my hands run and come,
They don´t care the world, they don´t care living,
Just for you, I just wait for you,
I missed your eyes and hands which call me,
Neither a hope left nor a dream,
I am offended at nights.
Heart burns, hearts cry,
Even my love flutters, looks for exit ways,
Just tear remains back from this love,
Love leaves green again at my soul,
I think about the dreams and I die at hidden corners.
If you say come, they run, my hands run and come,
They don´t care the world, they don´t care living,
Just for you, I just waited for you,
I missed your eyes and hands which call me,
Neither a hope left nor a dream,
I am offended at nights.
Small Notes:
1) "Yaşanmamışlar" means "the things that are unexperienced". In here, this word tells about the dream that singer couldn´t experience.
2) "Üzülürüm" means "I become sad", but in here, it is a close sadness to cry because singer does that at hidden corners, "üzülürüm" means "I cry in silent at hidden corners" at this song.
3) Geceyedir Küsmelerim is a complicated saying to translate. It means "my offendings are at night, my rebellion, my offense is at night." I shortly translated it as "I am offended at nights."

OK then! - it´s mainly the prepositions you have a problem with - and I changed them.
But ´I am offended at nights´ sounds really odd in English - is he offended ´by´ the night or ´during´ the night or is he commiting ´an offence´ at night??

Lady in red, thx for the corrections, they are very useful.
Well, I have been learning and studying English for a very long time and I am never afraid of saying that I speak English as my second native language. I never have difficulty at writing a text in English, or at understanding it and I can comfortably translate a long Turkish text to English or English one to Turkish.
But translating a poem is very different and difficult as well. Because Turkish is a very idiomatic language and sometimes it is very hard to translate these idioms into English and sometimes these idioms may not have a respond in English dictionary.
Translating a Turkish poem/lyrics into English is something that needs attention and consideration, possibility of making mistake increases when you try to translate a poem fastly, I don´t take attention at mistakes, but thx God that friends like you correct them.
I know that I have a problem with postpositions, sometimes I really confuse them. This is not because of lackness of knowledge, I think this is because of carelessness.
I will be more careful for the next translations,
thx

...so what was the answer to the ´I am offended at nights´ question?
