Quoting ..Laulau..

when a word has more than one suffix, how do you know which order the suffixes go in?

 Ooh that´s a good question! And it´s something that stumps me a lot! haha.

The only ones that I know is

verb root + (negative) + tense + to be suffix

As a learner, from what I can gather the ´to be´ suffix always seems to come at the end of the word, but I´m not 100% sure about that haha, like for example I´m not sure if, when your using locative suffixes and accusative suffix do you put the -de, -den, -e and -i before or after the ´to be´ suffix?

eg. is it yataktayım or yatağımda - to say I´m in bed?

Thanks for posting this Laura, I hope someone can answer these questions {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}

I think the first one is ´I am in bed´ the second is ´in my bed´

You are in my bed=yatağımdasın

I am in your bed=yatağındayım

(I think)

 Thanks sonunda, thats making sense to me now, the first one is almost like saying (kinda literally) ´in bed I am´ and the 2nd one is almost like ´bed belonging to me in´... Is that right

would the 2nd person be - ´yataktasın´ and ´yatağında´ - ´you are in bed´ and ´in your bed´?

I think so-did you read the other examples I added to my previous post? When translating T-E you start from the end and read back.

 Aah yea I get it

yatak + mine + in + you

yatak + yours + in + I

So does belonging to suffix, (benim -im, senin -in, onun -i, bizim -imiz, sizin -iniz, onların -ları and the -in suffix) come straight after the thing it belongs to?
