You are right on that. But think about like this

Right now, even though lots of family are in financial trouble, women of family are not sayin"hmm, so since i can not find another job, let me go and work in whorehouse". Nope, why ? because even it is  the oldest occupation, never respected. I am not saying that this people (tehre are man,gay, 3th kind, prostitutes also) should be misstreated. But saying we should not make this job something like people will enjoy being.

There is no solition for stopping prostitution then rising peoples moral level. No religion is free from that responsibilty. In islamic law (şeriat) countries like Iran, saudi arabia, they have whore houses, where you choose your layd, they make you marry her according islam, you go and f*ck her, then divroce her according islamic rules...And same poeple ll stone you if they see you are kissing your boyfrient on the street little bit hot.

 This was the problem of spritzer at the firs hand. We ll call western contries immoral, pervert, big devil, source of every bad happening, but ll have that kind of immoral places in the hearth of our towns. That is more immoral then being a prostitude.

 I consider legal prostitution a sign of civilization, first, because the employees could be monitorized about their healthy and second, the state can take more taxes for development of country{#emotions_dlg.nargile}

 The teacher at school asks the child:

- Whats the job of your mother ?

- Prostitute.

 I think is very hard to be a prostitute, to leave away your mind, heart, feelings and sell your body; I dont know if I can understand them; of course, maybe is an easy way to earn money...but is a hard job, I think; so...even a woman has a financial troubles it is hard for her to become a slut....but..this is another story..anyway..hard life...

Yes, I agree. I guess we can handle that question in the same topic since the two things are strongly connected.

So... What do foreigners expect of Turks? What do they think of Turkey?

 The only thing I would expect of Turks is that they except my minor indiscretions as I would if they visit me (and I have done that!) and I think Turkey is a beautiful diverse country that has much to offer any intrepid traveller.  It is not all about beaches and resorts selling full English breakfast and the notices boards for happy hours and everything is "cheap as chips" oh and not forgetting the young resort workers offering the desperate housewives a "good time" {#emotions_dlg.nargile} in exchange for the latest mobile phone and a visa. {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

 Just spotted there is already a thread of that title!!

What ´ok´ sign? And it supposedly means that "you" are gay, or that "I" am gay? {#emotions_dlg.unsure} lol

If you put the okay sign upside down it means gay. I guess if you would point at yourself with a big smile, and the other hand making the upside down ok, you would make very clear that you yourself are gay But usually it seems to be more of an insult to others.

The Turkish and their handgestures.... you´ll learn them sooner or later. Just like I learned the hard way when I played "I got your noseeee!" with my niece.
