Note : "yavşamak" is a slang word, quite rude to use also.

can you explain that translation please?  how do you get ´I wouldn´t add´ from ´eklemeyiz´.  and where does ´i can´t be that foolish´ come from?  thanks

eklemeyiz is present tense but it has a future meaning so we can translate it as we will not add.

mal means stupid

o kadar da değil means not that much

so we can translate the sentence like this:

We will not add stupid, it would be too much to do so.

thanks - i knew it wasn´t ´i wouldn´t add´ - but how did tunci get ´i can´t be so foolish´?  i can´t see that in the Turkish.

Nope. Because we are addressing someone as stupid not ourselves.

We dont have to do literal translation,

1. Eklemeyiz --> Literally = We wouldnt add or we wont add . But  many times when we refer 1.person [I] we use "we" in conversations.

the story is , that person probably in facebook or msn , says " I would not [have] add him/her into [ her friend list..etc], He says he is not that fool [to do that] [ I wouldnt go that far [adding him/her] [ there is no way I would do that]

I agree tunci. It is sometimes very difficult to translate a text literally. As you see my translation was not also literal. I just wanted to explain things a little bit detailed.
