This is the first paragraph of my homework about the relation between literature and reality. I challenge you to translate it to Turkish. I will give each translation a score.

Edebiyat ile hakikat ilişkisi tartışmalı bir konudur. Bu konuyu irdeleyen birçok edebiyat kuramı vardır. Bu kuramlar birbirlerinden oldukça farklı tezler öne sürer. Bunun sebeplerinden biri ise edebiyatın ve hakikatın ne olduğu üzerinde kesin bir uzlaşmaya varılamamış olmasıdır. Bu kavramların farklı dönemlerde farklı ideolojilerce içi doldurulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kavramların değişmez ve tarih-üstü diyebileceğimiz bir özleri yoktur. Her tarihsel dönemde geçerli olabilecek edebiyat ya da hakikat şudur diyebileceğimiz bir tanıma ulaşabilmiş değiliz. Bu inceleme de edebiyat ile hakikat ilişkisi bağlamında tezler öne sürmüş olan ve yansıtmacılık kuramı üzerinde temellenip 19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında Fransa’da ortaya çıkan, temsilciliğini Stendhal, Balzac, Zola gibi yazarların yaptığı gerçekçilik akımının savunduğu tezler eleştirilecektir. Edebiyat ve hakikat arasındaki ilişkiyi bir özne-nesne ilişkisi olarak gören bu akımın tezleri, bu ilişkinin diyalojik bir ilişki olduğu gösterilerek çürütülmeye çalışılacaktır.

The relationship between literature and reality is a disputable issue. There are many literary theories which research this question. These theories bring about theses which differ a good deal from each other. One of the reasons for this is the fact that it has not been possible to reach a compromise on what literature and reality are. Different ideologies in different times have tried to give a substance to those concepts. These concepts do not have fixed gists which would be independent on historical conditions. We have not in any period of history been able to reach a possibly valid definition in which we could have said “this is what literature is or this is what reality is”. In this paper the theses which introduced ideas in the context of the relationship between literature and reality, which were established on the principle of echoism and emerged in the latter part of the 19^th century in France and whose representation was defended by literary realism created by writers like Stendhal, Balzac and Zola, will be criticized. The aim is that the theses of this trend which saw the relationship between literature and reality as a subject-object relationship will be proved unsound by showing that this relationship is actually a dialogic relationship.
