i am attempting to learn the language but has not been easy and the gentleman i am talking to is very horrible at english, so he uses google translate a lot. when i speak the words i end up having to write them down or type. anyway, before i rant English and American are not the same and there needs to be an American translator!!!

ive explained to him i do not speak proper english and american language is different. and now i trying to learn his instead because it sounds like turkish is almost easier to learn than him learning mine. once again...im going on...point is help me translate this into turkish:

"i have been reading about your language and want to try hard for you, because you are very meaningful to me. "

i realize some of that it may not be exactly that but i want it to pretty much say the say thing. thank you!!

dilini öğrenebilecek miyim diye araştırıyorum ve senin için bu konuda uğraşmak istiyorum, çünkü benim için çok değerlisin

i changed the,

reading about -> research to see if i can learn it

for you -> about learning your language

try hard -> struggle for it

meaningful -> very valuble

one more time. many failed attempts to make a sentence make sense.

need to say something to comfort and show that i care that he is sick. i do care. and i do wish i could make him feel better and take care of him. how would i say something along those lines?

( we met at a festival via a family member of his, he was just visiting and the member was translating for us) now this whole barrier is getting very difficult specially when i get messages and texts and phone calls that i do bot understand even when he tries in english he gets pissed because i do not understand. which is why i am bound and determined to learn.)

Start with geçmiş olsun (get well soon)

This is a standard saying for Turks whenever someone tells you they are sick or have an illness, pain, cold, toothache, etc.

It literally means may it (the illness, etc) pass.
