Hello, I noticed on Facebook or twitter Turkish people would put T.C to their profile name. Can someone tell me what for and what is going on? Is it a protest ? Thank you in advance!

Nothing important.
A few paranoid people who think because some govr. departments have removed the abbreviatrion, TC -Turkish Republic-, from some departments´ boards, they would not be 100% sure the department belongs to Turkey.
I think it is the health ministry decided to remove the abbreviation.
Of course, this abbreviation is very important for the people. For example If TC is NOT on a board for a hospital in Ankara, there is a great chance that hospital belongs to another republic.

If they really want to protest something they should put T.C. on the beginning of Merkez Bankası. Whenever i mention this i am being stricly cencored. Online news sites have comment option for their readers but none of them yet accepted this kind of comment even the news about merkez bankası. maybe they were all invaded!
anyway, Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası is the long form written on all paper money. But you cannot put T.C. here because T.C. stands for Türkiye Cumhuriyeti. Our central bank is a private bank from the beginning and millions of people get fooled by using Türkiye Cumhuriyet.
I hope this message will not be cencored here, too. Otherwise i will think TC (this time turkish class ) was invaded, too.

The grammar lesson behind this is: any noun in a chain which does not have a third person possessive suffix (here Cumhuriyet) is not qualified by a preceding noun.

The grammar lesson behind this is: any noun in a chain which does not have a third person possessive suffix (here Cumhuriyet) is not qualified by a preceding noun.
here is the english translations:
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti: Turkish Republic (abbreviation: T.C. or with one point T.C) This officially indicates that it belongs to Turkish state, property of turkish state.
Türkiye Cumhuriyet: Turkey, Republic (something has names turkey and republic in it.)

Why?
I dont think it irritates me at all.. It is more like political correctness.. Considering what this paranoia resulted in, the question is much more like why it does look very normal to you!!

If it did not irritate you, you would not bother attacking those people, would you? And I wonder if calling protesters "a few paranoid" is political correctness?
As for the question, what they do looks very normal to me because they do not have to have the same political views as me.. We should respect each other´s differences, should not we?

I did not attack those people at all, I was just laughing at them really.. I saw it on facebook and my first reaction was more like making fun out of them.
Sorry but I would not consider their impulsive writings as political views. I would not recommend to you either..

now let´s have some conspiracy theories related to this topic.
after french revolution late in 18th century, nationalistic ideas were widespread all over europe and most parts of the world. as a result of this many non-nationalistic empires disappeared.
It was not coincidence that "young turks" (Les Jeunes Turcs, jön türkler) had found their perfect place in france. young turks were famous for their nationalistic ideas. they did their job perfectly and destroyed a six century years old empire less than fifteen years.
lets jump to present.
it is not coincidence that nationalistic kurdish people which involved terrorist activities have found their perfect place, again in france. of cource also other sisters of france are helping them such as belgium, germany, denmark... etc.
this year american embassy in ankara had a suicide bomber and one security guard was killded one news reporter lost her one eye. that bomber was checked by german police in germany and after he show his french passport, german police let him free. just an example but not coincidence of course, thousands of french passported...
anyway.
nationalistic ideas did their job well for the last two centuries and these ideas are being replaced something else now all over the world. globalisation, one world goverment, one electronic money... easy to take control small nation based countries compared to big empires. long live multinationalism, death to nationalism! obey the rulers of new world order!...
it costed two world wars bringing nationalism and i guess i will cost two world wars to sweep it away. get ready!

This is really good..
Though, I dont think it will cost another couple of wars to remove nationalism but multinationalism is taking over. People are mingling with eachother. The goods are produced by poor workforce in Asia with western capitals for consumption. China´s GDP almost doubled in last 10 years because of the new world order.
However, I think you have put too much emphasis on France in the first bit.

It so appears that everyone here is full of questions for Elisabeth but the thing is that she does not give ear to dear members´ complaints nor interested enough in their problems but she appears at Light speed when a thread needs to be locked

Lol.
I think, she only moderates my posts with lightning speed . When ´someone´ insults others ´ie the post above´ she is quite reluctant. If someone repeats it again and again, she is still reluctant. Not a word!! But if others says ´that is enough, I can have a few words as well´, she will interfere and say something like ´you should stop doing that´. She likes it that way.
Anyway, the answer to my question about "Why are the holes in cats fur always in the right places for their eyes?" is "No it doesn´t. When they are tiny weeny kittens the fairies come and decide where the fur should and shouldn´t be. Its a delicate procedure, too much fair dust and fluffy has a eye in his forehead"

What kind of complaints/problems would you like to report? Nobody follows all the forum posts so that everyone´s questions can be answered. If you have a problem, you must email all the administrators. In regards to moderation, if you know a little bit about the history of this site and the issues we had in the past with forum moderation, you would know that it´s not easy to "moderate the right amount" and it´s always better to delete less then more.

It is really difficult to sanction one person without sanctioning everyone. Alpha has said some insulting things, yes...but so have many others. Should I just delete everyone/everything? I would much rather ask for cooperation and if I don´t get it, I would much rather lock a thread then to start deleting people. The problem I find is that nobody really has any respect for my requests.
In my opinion nobody is innocent and this site has many old grudges between members. We all get angry but I also know that we all feel passionately about Turkey...unfortunately we don´t all have the same opinions.
Lastly, I am sorry if my administrative style is not to everyone´s liking but I can´t make everyone happy and do the best I can with the very limited time that I have.
