Birkaç daha Türkçeyi öğrenme için buradayır kalmak istiyorum ama buradayır kalamam çünkü bira alma gidmeliyim. Dişim ağrıyor Dişimi uyuşturmak lazım için bira!

I want to stay here to learn some more Turkish but I can't stay here because I must go to buy beer. My tooth is hurting Beer is necessary to numb my tooth!

Birkaç is for countable things.
You don't need to make türkçeyi here because you don't learn a specific turkish, it's a general thing.
alma-y-a gitmeliyim because '-e gitmek'.
lazım is the verb here, lazım(dır), so you put it in the end.
Apart from these, it was good

Ve:
Belki de dişÃ§iye gitmelisin.
Maybe you should go to the dentist.

I put Türkçe in the /i/ state because öğrenmek takes the /ı/ state! The same with buradayır - I added -y-ır because kalmak takes the /ır/ state.

Also you have changed öğrenmek from short infinitive to full infinitive......is that because of the use of istemek in the sentence???

Hi bod,

tabib = doktor = doctor

tabib is not a common word anymore..

you could say: " Hayır diş doktorundan korkuyorum"

just curious...do you often have a tooth ache problem??

Ah!!!
Damn dictionaries......the one linked from this site lists diş tabibi as dentist and dişÃ§i as being an unqualified dentist or person who robs graves for gold teeth

I should have relied on my usual dictionary that translates "dentist" as dişÃ§i or diş doktoru!

Why present continuous tense???
As it is a constant state I thought aorist tense would be used......

Yes, dentists don't like to be called "dişÃ§i", but in colloquaiol (I hate to type this word) language people usually say dişÃ§i, but in fact the better one and what doctors prefer is "diş hekimi"

According to me, you can say both: diş doktorundan çok korkarım as well, but if you make it continious, it tells better the state of mood you're in at the moment.

yes it would be better if you say "diş doktorundan korkarım" but "korkuyorum" is not completely wrong either. That would tell me as well, that you are scared from the dentists..
