and i will be in Turkey with my friend 2 days after Ramazam begins. i will fast with him, but I will not give up drinking water during the day and as for smoking well....

if you gonna fast than you cannot drink water or smoke.you canno put any in your mouth on porpuse.if did it by mistake than its ok.

Well. i'm not a muslim and i'm going to fast only because it would make me uncomfortable to eat when my friend cannot. I do not want to make him sit with me in a cafe or restaurant while i eat. i can get up and have breakfast with him and i can wait to eat for the evening meal. It will be a pleasure to share these meals with him.

I think not drinking water is very bad for you. You should drink at least 2 litres per day and more it it is very hot. I personally could not drink 2 litres just in the morning and night time, so i will not stop drinking water. I'm afraid i feel very strongly about this. it is very bad for you not to drink water during the day. If I didn't drink water, i would probably faint in the day time.

I know I shouldn't smoke. He also finds it hard not to smoke. This will be very very hard for me, but I will try because that will also be hard for him to watch me smoke when he can't do it himself.

Well yes that is correct. You can go 3 days without water WITHOUT DYING, but that doesn't mean you are healthy!

lyndie cant you stay at most 12 hours without water actually you sleep 1/3 time of fasting adn you have chance to go on a diet

Hheheh - I dont' mind the dieting part really, but go without water NEVER! It keeps your skin nice and your eyes bright and all your internal organs working properly. I would never go even 2 hours without water.
