Quoting Marinka: I've been in love with a handsome smart turk for almost a year now. I guess i've been talking about it so much that one of my friends decided to go to Turkey to find out on her own if turks are so cool.
Now she asked me to translate a couple of sms that he sent her. I'm only a beginner and couldn't do that. therefore I hope that friendly and helpful people on this site will help me. thank you beforehand,
the text is the following:
1.Sen en iyisi bi bok yazma benide rahatsiz etme. Ok.
2. Lan oglum senin baska isin yokmu. Su kelimeleride dogru duzgun yaz. Inglizce yazmaktan haberim bile yok.
|
Do you make fun of us? Or are you serious?
1. You'd better not write me any shit and don't disturb me. Ok.
2. Man don't you have any other job? And write the words properly. I don't know about writing english at all.

Last week, I've read something about 'lan'.
The original word, has a mongol origin. The real word is 'Ulan', and it means 'warrior' and it form part of many propter names, for example Ulan Bator (capital of Mongolia).
Nowdays, the word 'lan' comes from the original Ulan, and it means something like 'man'. But anyway, it is used in slang language and if you tell it to someone that you don't know so much, you are going to hear something that you won't like at all.
