Hi defacto,
About culture:Countries have differents ways to do something, for exemple In England ,When you want to have a drink in the PUB you must take your order at the bar and take your glasses to your table in France it is the opposite.
So I thing that it is very kind to know a little bit about culture and tradition when you visite a country.
For Turkey, I read that often to refuse something (especialy at diner table)
turkish people say Teşekkür ederim and to accept an offer use Lütfen?
Bu doğru yoksa yanşıl (here "yoksa" if I understood well Faruk because apposite meaning ).
See you soon
have a good day
