not for human right..
coz the same disturbing in the eu could be but ours are exaggerated...
they look to PKK little friends etc etc.. some of those reasons they r 2 faces..

ok, dear friend, i agree with u, EU is double-faced and bad!
turkia is one faced(honest) and wonderful! therefore dont join the evil west! u r rite!
isnt it true that u like when foreigners sweeten u this way? u like when others lie u saying only positive things trying to avoid the misunderstanding for the sake of faulse peace and let u live in illusion.
u should consider this really deeply starting from the beginning with the question: 'why there arose such need or issue of joining EU?' 'why do we turks need joining EU, cant we be happy without it?' or 'wasnt it smth that ataturk initiated?'
think, friends, think, and dont rely on ur faulse emotions, dont rely on pride!
i dont say that turkia cant live without EU, it would be a huge lie. the west is not smth ideal.
seems ur great leader thought absolutely different way.
cheers

i dont think we need the eu.. why dont they refuse us? coz they need us more then we do..
i dont say let not join the eu..
all i am trying to say is we have to be equal with other countries.. otherwise not necessary to push..
actually if we had some leaders like "man" we could already pass the eu as a wealthy, economics etc...

can u make urself clear? 'i dont think we need the eu.. why dont they refuse us?' wot is this? i find theres no logic.
duskahvesi, i think u urself donno wot u want. u donno wot to say, u dont have a precise strong viewpoint, u swing between this and that. u put all the blame onto EU, as if turkia was absolutely spotless. it is very simple, u wanna join the club? u fulfill the requirements, thats all. u compare turkia to other countries? lets then compare, for instance, human rites r respected in poland more than in turkia, its obvious. and there r no religious extremists killing the gov tools, no 'honor killings'. i dont say poland is ideal, thats only the comparison i did.
who said that its easy to join the richest countries? only germany itself brings 30% of funds to the common share, just being one of 25.
why do u turks expect it easy? did ur great leader tell so 'complain and accuse then it ll easily come to u, just fall from the sky'?
things should be worked out for. mentality should change. u still live with ur great history of ottoman empire, which has gone with the wind now, wake up, its 21st century now. u better scope on the future, not on the history. and many of ppl wanna live according to the schemes (traditions) established even before the middle ages.
it just should be YES or NO, unless u make it that clear u ll keep swinging between the two worlds! its all up to u! the question is still the same: 'to be or not to be!'
cheers!

we see Eu countries such a democratical and respect to human rights on middle east femma, why you exxegareting EU or its culture?are they spotless to?well noone never deny goodness of revulations, and we all want to make critieries better in Turkey and on all over world, and we can do that by ourslef,we no need another one's forces and teases, thats our mistakes and only we can close or make better this mistakes, never others....

Every country entitled to keep its own identity ,and he too entitled to be proud of his ottoman inheriting,it is a big history, and a great culture,

A country with no history,is a country with no future

Democracy is to let everyone live the way they like on conditions that they don't harm others arround them

Each country got its own traditions
So if they want to live accourding to their traditions, its their rights too

And i don't think the requirements is to lose their identity so they can join
İ guess they are trying to achieve the requirements, without losing their identity in the process ,and it is their right to keep it

Or else, you wouldn't find much difference in leaving your home land and travelling to Turkiye
They would be same!!!

that saying "a country without a history has no future" is so much not true. in the history, nations appeared and disappeared, empires come and go even they did had great histories. according to this proverb the countries like usa or canada wouldnt have any chance to be the power as they r today. not all proverbs r wise, if u analize them. but some wish take it as it is, not thinking how and why they were made up, the proverbs r made by the same ppl like us for certain purposes, they were not gods .

differences r really attractive i agree with u.

then its better for turkia not to join, cos the criterias of EU r strict. im watching now, after joining EU poland must obey and fulfill all the requirements, so there r now efforts to level in many aspects to the standards of EU, u dont want or u dont do, u wont get any support from EU. isnt it simple?

then why complain on refusals from EU?

İ don't really understand what are you saying ,do you think it is better for them to forget their history ? and why would they do that ?

Coutries try to find themselves a history and they already have a great one

And,İ didn't say it is better for Turkia not to join,i am saying they should work both way

Turkia to try to fulfill the EU requirements
And for EU to respect the countries identities

And i guess that is fair enough

those who dont know the history r fools, but those who live in the history r ghosts! is it clear enough?
i never said forget ur history, i said scope on ur future!

canli, u also swing between the worlds.
it must be: YES or NO,
we live a peaceful life (mostly neutrally), but there r times when we r forced to choose, YES or NO. the neutral state is not taken into consideration.
when the hman rites r respected to a major extent, things start become clear and better.
