Quoting CANLI:

İ don't really understand what are you saying ,do you think it is better for them to forget their history ? and why would they do that ?

Coutries try to find themselves a history and they already have a great one

And,İ didn't say it is better for Turkia not to join,i am saying they should work both way

Turkia to try to fulfill the EU requirements
And for EU to respect the countries identities

And i guess that is fair enough

those who dont know the history r fools, but those who live in the history r ghosts! is it clear enough?
i never said forget ur history, i said scope on ur future!

canli, u also swing between the worlds.
it must be: YES or NO,
we live a peaceful life (mostly neutrally), but there r times when we r forced to choose, YES or NO. the neutral state is not taken into consideration.
when the hman rites r respected to a major extent, things start become clear and better.

saying that u have no rite to discuss on turkia is immature!
u cant forbide me, as i cant forbide u to discuss on qazaqs.
and i was not making fun of turkia.
and i have a sense of humor in comparison to u, cos i can laugh together with "borat" stuff at my country! im the first one who criticises my own country!
goodbye

my target is human rites, and human rites dont change according to the culture or history.
no matter wot cultural and historical background u have u ought to repect those rites.

im not genious or a machine of a knowledge, i know a bit of this and a bit of that, i can discuss it without a thorough knowledge (cos i believe i ll never get the absolute knowledge of anything at all, the day i say i know everything im a complete fool) cos im not the member of EU commission whose gonna decide the fates of many nations. and the discussion here is not held on the level of republic. we r simple ppl trying to exchange the viewpoints. if u r not able to respect me just cos i disagree with u, then THIS actually disqualifies u from the discussion.

i suggest u to change ur tone towards me. when did turn from a nice gentleman scalpel into the rude person? r u showing now ur real face, dear friend?

As i said in my previous posts, i dont like to get into these arguments on here but i think this one too is getting out of hand. as i recall the questions was 'do you think turkey will go into the UK?' so why has it blown up again out of all proportions? to start inflicting insults on people that used to be good friends on here is pointless. everyone has their own opinions, but i agree that things should be read up on before commenting otherwise its just not fair.

Personally i think Turkiye deserve to go into the EU, after all they are just normal people and have the right to aswell. But even though i think they will join, it wont be for a long time and also i dont want them to join as it will take away from what turkey is, a nice country with great people and cultures. I hope this never happens.

People see the EU as an 'escape' but believe me you will want to escape back out of it when you realise its not the paradise that you think it is.

You want to change this ??!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0gBhQGp4Ik&mode=related&search=

This warm ,this care ,this mix ?!!

İ wouldn't change this for anything in the whole world

You've talked about traditions, and history,a nation's personality comes from her own traditions and historys

No one dare to ask to change this,it is a nation pride

And that is what i don't agree about it with you,we don't live in history, but history is our resource for the furure too, tradition and history make the kind of people each nation is

Money comes and goes, but what's between people, the comunications, the link, the care ,the warm that is something comes with traditions, with culture, with birth

Neither money,nor anything can buy

My piece of advice is,

Stay the way you are my Turkish friends,
You are unique and wonderful this way

oren, poles r also normal ppl, but now they have to adjust to the standards of EU, since they have decided to join it.
they should make orders in their laws and etc.
but does it mean that poles r barbarians since they have to listen to EU?
why cant u take these things to ur mind? the club has its rules, u dont like the rules u dont join. is anybody forcing turkia to join? no, its free! but it wont be free after joining.

scal, yes, hahahaha, God sent me to look after the human rites! does it change anything?
