So actually in Turkish 'would' is a past time from aorist-tense?
Whereas the 'normal' past time is just the verb-root with past-time suffixes?
If I were you, I would not work: Senin yerinde olsam, çalışmazdım.
I didn't work: çalışmadım.

as you know;
-ecek/-acak is future tense.
Bugün okula gidecek: Today, he will go to school
we add past form "-di":
Bugün okula gidecekti
That may mean:
1- He planned to go, but he didn't go.
2- He planned to go, but we don't know if he went or not.
both are possible.

It doesn't seem like it would be used by any Turkish speaker though it is correct sentence.
Senin yeninde olsam/olsaydım should suffice many times.
As a help for you, you can assume
-miş olmak = have V-3rd-form
so
olmuş olmak = have been
