Hello. Have a look at this previous thread where military service also was discussed
Btw, there's a period of.. I think 2 months, in which the 'new soldiers' aren't allowed to make contact with people outside. So you won't really be able to text him or get texts from him!

these are not true.you can visit your man during his duty and send him SMS or talk to him but he will have to use his phone in nights after military trainings.Sometimes secretly if lieutenant let him to use it.I dont let anyone to use it here coz turkish army is not holland's army or pakistan's.:

You told me that the first period I wouldn't be able to e-mail you? And that you also weren't allowed to use your cellphone?
And if its secretly it means its not allowed anyway

why you think so,I wanted to be alone in army, wanted to left everything back and I did it and switched my mobile phone off and bought a new GSM number and using it for 9 months. So it is really good to start life from beginning...I was so tired with all of things on my shoulder.but now Im free man and can do everthing that I wanted.I haven t got anything to think carefully now

my boyfriend is currently completing his military service, he has another 5months remaining. he was not able to use his phone during the first 3months of training but after that he was able to contact me in the evenings after his day. he does say however that when he goes on operations he is not able to contact me, but does as soon as he finish's. there was a stage where they had phone prohibitions, but it didnt stop him, he had a sim card and found another phone. have you completed your military service lapinkulta?

My boyfriend is at this moment in Sirnak. I am not happy. Yesterday I read on the internet that there died 3 soldiers. Happily I have heard something from my boyfriend but my thoughts are by those who did not survive. This makes me realise, that it is not safe to be there and that you will never know what is going to happen.
