The reason I ask is that I notice that the frequent spammers just keep coming back with slightly altered names and continue to spam.
If they had been warned before being deleted, surely they would try to hide their ID?

Well... I'm not Admin, but I can answer your question. People who are deleted for spam are not notified about it. If there are at least five messages from them that are marked as spam, and they have no contribution to the web site, they are automatically deleted. Those who are less clear cases, are warned about the possibility of being deleted. They can either change their behavior or eventually they will be deleted. It's a problem that people who were deleted, keep coming back - that was the reason why we started doing the email authorization (you have to provide a valid email address in order to become a member). It is harder now to keep starting new accounts, but some people just don't get the message..

I just received my first spam from a woman who asks for my msn. Or is it someone who thinks Trudy (or Turdy as some spell it) is a man's name?
