Yaz Yağmuru - Serdar Ortaç

Çok seneler geçti senden sonra
Ben hep yalancı aşklar yaşadım
Hiçbir zaman ölmeyen şarkılar gibi
Ben hiç seni unutmadım
Şimdi hatırlarım eski günleri
Belki döner gelirsin bir sabah
Ağlamaktan usanmadan
Hergün ağladım durmadan
Şimdi beni yalvartmadan gel

Yaz yağmuru düşer durur yüreğime
Bir küçük aşk yeter benim hasretime
Sen de benim yağmurum ol
Damla damla gir gönlüme

Yaz yağmuru düşer durur yüreğime
Bir küçük aşk yeter benim hasretime
Sen de benim yağmurum ol
Damla damla yağ gönlüme

Summer Rain

So many years have passed since you,
I always lived false loves,
like songs that never die,
I never forgot you,
Now I remember the old days,
Maybe they will come back, maybe you will return one morning,
without crying,
I cried everyday non-stop,
Now come back without making me beg,

Summer rain fills my heart,
A small love is enough for my longing,
Be my rain,
Drop by drop fill my soul,

Summer rain fills my heart,
A small love is enough for my longing,
Be my rain,
Drop by drop fill my soul,

İ can help with the 'gönlüme' thing

İt means to my heart
gönül means heart, and when you add suffix to it contain another vowel,so you cancel the 'ü' so it be
gönlüm.. my heart
İ guess that is to make it easier in the pronounciation

There are other words same as gönül,i know some
İsim....ismim
Şehir...şehrim
Oğul..oğlum
Resim...resmim
Karın...karnım

Bir şey değil Dilara,

ut i still cann't get that 'döner gelirsin'

dönmek + 'r' suffix
Gelmek + 'r' suffix + sin

How can you put 2 verbs following each other ?
İ thought it could only be when we use 'Ip'
So it be,
dönip gelirsin.. but again that is addressing the same person

But here döner is addressing 'o' and gelirsin is addressing 'sen'

Confusing me still !

Hı agaın Canli!
I was analızıng the sentence :
' Belki döner gelirsin bir sabah'
and accordıng to me ıt means :

' Belki döner = maybe they come back
'gelirsin bir sabah = maybe you return one mornıng

But ıt DOES NOT use the 'ıp' suffıx because ın thıs sentence IT IS NOT connectıng the 2 verbs but just 'wonderıng ' (accordıng to the contex)
so he uses ' BELKI' to 'connect' the 2 verbs...
What do you thınk?
Dilara.

Hello Dilara,
İ can agree with you yes,but that's means it is 2 sentences,not just 1,
Because in 1 sentence i didn't really see that 2 verbs can follow each other like that and form a sentence
İt can be,
Belki döner,gelirsin bir sabah
Maybe they return, one morning you come

And it doesn't use the 'Ip' suffix because both verbs are not talking to same person too.
He used Belki like that for it's a song, but in right sentence,he should use 2 belki,if he ment it that way,so it should be
Belki döner belki gelirsin bir sabah

That makes more sense ?

Ohhh, then döner is addressed to same person, not meant günler by it ?

İ never knew we can omit the personal suffix, and keep the zaman eki only and add it to another verb in that way !

But that is right grammatically ,or that is used in a matter of speaking only?

Quoting scalpel:

suffix that shows time cannot be omitted, but, when 2 verbs folowed each other this way, personal ending with the first one is often omitted:

hemen gid.er, gel.ir.im
çabucak dön.er, gel.ir.im
şu anda otur.u.yor ve kitap oku.yor.um
birazdan gid.ecek ve gör.eceğ.im
dün git.miş, gör.müş.tü.m

Thank you very much for your help and explanation , I wasn't aware of that until you told that.
Highly appreciated! ...even translating a song you can learn unexpected things!
Dilara.
