..since this is not my first attempt
But I feel ready so here we go:

I will quit smoking in 10 hours, 4 minutes and 21 seconds.

Ahh, even if it was only to see that cute meter grow

Now that I made it public, I can feel the social pressure already

Thanks!

I stopped for 8 months last year, I know it is easier than a lot of people think. But I should never try one again, that was my mistake last year..

Well guys, here I go:

"I will quit smoking in 25 minutes and 42 seconds."

I won't spam TC with my meter all the time, I promise. Just now and then.. (I will start to use that smoking smiley more now, as a substitute )

I wish you strength and commitment!
It is not easy...believe me I know! After more than 20 years of smoking I managed to quit 4 years ago. I so much identified myself as being a smoker...I think that was more difficult to change than the quitting smoking part...
Start watching the behaviour of smokers...as a research...and you will find it even more interesting to quit! lol I used to smoke two cigarettes in a row when I knew I would not have time to smoke again for more than one hour...is that stupidity or what?

well hows it going elisa, im into my third week now, i had a bit of a moment yesterday, but today im up for it again , they say the first three days are the worst ,but i think their quite easy because you have a sense of satisfaction, and people are encouraging you but after two weeks that stops and everybody just assumes you are over it ,but then it gets horrid again ,but im will NOT GIVE IN TO IT!

Do you have that Silkquit meter? It's nothing that special, it doesn't do miracles, but still it is encouraging I think. You should install it.

I'll show mine tonight

Hope it is getting easier for you all - don't give up - giving up.....it's great that you are trying - don't aim too high - everybody has a different way of coping without - I found I needed to have something in my hands and my nails suffered

Anyway good luck girlies

Bad bad, really bad. I wasn't gonna mention it first, because I feel quite ashamed and bad. But well, I announced it, so I should tell the rest as well, shouldn't I

Anyway, I've cheated too much again already... And I feel awful about it . And that is also the last thing I will say about it here. Next time the only announcement I will make will be something like "it has been a year since I stopped smoking"..

Everything would be so much easier if i could find a way to occupy my mouth and eating cant be the solution
If quiting smoking means that i ll end up being fat, then i ll go buy a new package immediately!

Aferin sana Deli, I am really really happy for you. The strange thing is that I know too well myself that it all gets easier.. I quit for almost 9 monts. Why is it so difficult then to do it all over again, that's what I don't get

But you keep up the good work Deli
