Hi all,

I wanted to talk about something that has been disturbing me, and I thought this would be the best thread to post it on since the subject concerns the translation lounge.

Lately I have been observing more and more spiteful and satirical posts on the lounge, people seem to quarrel with one another rather than helping others, or even worse they brag about themselves and never accept their mistakes(translation wise).  I know it´s not my duty to judge people for who they are or what they do, but this is, as far as I´m concerned, a lounge for translations and not a fight club.

We all make mistakes every once in a while but we also learn from our mistakes, if we learn to ACCEPT them.  BUT that does NOT mean that we should sift through thousands of posts just to find a teensy bit of mistake and shove it in people´s faces.  I´m not naming any names, simply because I don´t want to start yet another fight here.  I can just say that if the cap fits, well you are free to wear it.

I´m not trying to offend anyone, I just wanted to point out that this is turning up to be a great disturbance to all(I think..)  and I KNOW that we all are mature enough to stop this childish nuisance.

Thank you for reading my post.

Alex

ps: Please do not hesitate to PM me about the subject, if you do know the reason why all this has started, please let me know for I am really curious about it.

 Hi

You seem really upset and I am sorry for that but I am not aware of any arguments here (I am a nice person{#emotions_dlg.bigsmile} and think the best of everyone!!). All I would say is without my own and other people´s mistakes I would learn nothing!!!

I love the way I can try to translate and somebody will correct me. Hopefully I will be able to correct someone in the (very far) future.

BTW angel_of_death - I think you do a wonderful job!! Have you seen a full bottle of pinot????
