Quoting Deli_kizin:

My name, Esther, the name of one of the jewish/hebrew books of bible, is not originally Hebrew. It comes from the Persian names 'ستاره setareh', which means 'a star'.

Some people seem to have linked it also to the verb 'str' wich means something like 'to hide/be sheltered' and then would mean 'sheltered' or 'i will be sheltered/hidden'.

I go for the first meaning, because it's more logic: Esther does look like the words for star like 'star', 'ster', 'estrella' etc.

With the persian origine I think I was meant to find my happiness more in the eastern direction

Nice to meet you Esther - what a beautiful name. I am new here . I hope your dream of happiness in the East comes true

I wonder what "Erdinc" means? ....lol

Maybe Erdinc can clear that issue for you but I am going to comment on the meaning of his name anyway lol

"Er" means soldier.
"Dinc" means energetic and vigorous, robust and active.

so probably Erdinc means energetic/active soldier

Wow! Vigorous? Robust? I shall certainly view him in a new light now

Yes you live and learn indeed - but I has taken many many disasters to learn that! I have found that the more you try to change your hair and make it more beautiful, the worse it becomes. I now leave it to be its natural mid-blonde colour and straight and I dont have anymore problems! Accept what you have and dont try to bleach or perm it - that is my advice! lol

I have tried raw egg on my hair as a conditioner and I have used vinegar in water as a final rinse to make my hair shine more and I have used lemon juice on my hair to get streaks in the sun! But as my hair is red brown the lemon juice turned it ginger! Then as an 18 year old I decided to add a touch of peroxide! Disaster I think henna is a much safer bet!

Ahh I love to hear about other people's hair disasters because I have made so many myself! I once bleached my naturally blonde hair and then became scared and rinsed it off before it had finished lightening. Result? Bright orange hair! I also had a disasterous perm once and when I walked home from the hairdressers my mum could hear my loud sobs and cries 15 minutes before I reached home lol.

I had my fortune told!
It told me that I would meet a dark man and get married very quickly! Which I did....

The Fortune Teller must have known you were going to Turkey !! I would think its a fairly safe bet if you said to ANY English girl going to Turkey "you will meet a dark man and get married very quickly" 99% of the time you would be CORRECT lol!
