Quoting AEnigma III:

It's amazing how you can look at one person in such different lights, depending on the "spin". Anyway, he is still my hero!

oh, no.

As I promised to daydreamer

Jean-Paul Sartre, about Che Guevara "the most complete human being of our age".

Thehandsom, feel free to admire whoever you want, but he is as much of a hero as Adolf Hitler is. There are worldwide organizations praising the latter although he hasn't become as commercialised a symbol as Che Guevara did. I recall a saying that even killing one person shows there's something wrong with you. If you think the pool of blood Che Guevara is responsible of still makes him your romantic (sic!) hero - I'm speechless. I have read his biography so it's not really that I know nothing about him. Here's something I found online - a bit lengthy but being such a fan, you may want to give it some time:

I will read it later on..
But day dreaming girl, he was not working for a charity..
He was a revolutionist with his Kalashnikov in one hand.
The other hand?
He was carrying a torch and trying to light the fire of freedom as he went along from one country to another.

He was the most heroic of all the revolutionists in the world.
And he will remain that way..

lol
whats result of his revolution?
was it fruitful?

By going on the streets to reject a religious government in the mitingler of last summer, and then still voting for that party, shows how divided Turkey is: they gave a sign in which they showed they want the best for their country, but they want a secular government too.

i would call it hypocrasy, indifference, and laziness.

sorry, guys, but we share the same mentality. we as a nation want this and that(we want a strong economy, no doestic or foreign conflicts, better education, super healthcare system, good roads etc etc). and we think that a hero must come to fulfill our demands. but i think only a magican can carry out our expectations . and almost all politicians are magicans, they promise us to show miracles, but in fact they trick us with hocus-pocus.
and we again are in our own traps.

sharia will sooner be implemented in UK than in turkey. lol

in fact the shaddows of sharia always existed in a secular turkey.

I lived in titograd during the early 90's. I also saw what happened by all parties involved. Serbia has been punished enough for their responsibility. Losing Kosovo is going too far.

true.
the mass media (including lots of hollywood movies) presented the whole situation as one way fault i.e. serbs were guitly for everything. i myself tend to believe that serbs were evil slavs, until i learnt about mass media manipulations.

Quoting KeithL:

Knowing the partisan serbs and especially the çetnik serbs the way I do, this will never be tolerated long term. The nations that recognize this illegal declaration of independence are only inviting more ethnic violence to the region. Every country of the world has areas of ethnic majority. This is no reason to rewrite borders whenever a minorirt group demands their own country.
Examples of course include areas of UK and USA as well.

good observations.
