nooooo, its really common!I write it all the time!! Me and my friends ;love to write in abbreviations cause then most of teh time the teachers dont get them when they find te notes we pass around and the nthe teacher goes somethign like this 

and the we do this and the he/she does this

Nope, I just HATE that text language with unreadable abbreviations, many times I don´t even know what/wut/wot it means. And I´m not a native speaker myself, so I´m the last person who says something about ´normal´ errors or typo´s.
