When you are old - William Butler Yeats
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Bir okyanus mavisi serinligine uzanmis
ipeksi saclarini oksuyor simdi ellerim
Bugulu camlara resmini cizip
ismini verdigim beyaz guvercinler ucuruyorum gokyuzune
onlar kadar ozgur onlar kadar erisilmez olsun diye
Kimselere degil! Sevdigim yalniz bana kanat cirpsin diye
Simdi uzaklardasin biliyorum, erisemeyecegim kadar uzak
Olsun! icinde hep sen olan düsler goruyorum ellerin ellerimde..
Gel artik , kaldir aradan bu hasreti
Gercek olsun artık bu düslerim
Biraktigin o yerde bekliyorum seni..
--------------------------------------
Bu sabah yagmur var
İnce ince yagıyor
Sular birikiyor kücük cukurlara
Sanki gokler degilde kalbim aglıyor,
Sen yagmur , bense kücük bir cukur.
Gözyaşları degil bu yagan
Sadece yagmur , boslukları dolduran...
---------------------------------------
these are waiting for translating still so i will post my new ones after that

muses were busy these days...
Love Song
How can I keep my soul in me, so that
it doesn't touch your soul? How can I raise
it high enough, past you, to other things?
I would like to shelter it, among remote
lost objects, in some dark and silent place
that doesn't resonate when your depths resound.
Yet everything that touches us, me and you,
takes us together like a violin's bow,
which draws one voice out of two separate strings.
Upon what instrument are we two spanned?
And what musician holds us in his hand?
Oh sweetest song.
Rainer Maria Rilke

Road not taken
Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I
-I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Great piece,isn't it?

Piraye İçin Yazılmış Saat 21 Şiirleri - 8 Kasım 1945
Uzaktaki şehrimin damları üzerinden
ve Marmara denizinin dibinden geçip
sonbahar topraklarını aşarak
olgun ve ıslak
geldi sesin.
Bu, üç dakikalık bir zamandı.
Sonra, telefon simsiyah kapandı...

The More Loving One- W. H. Auden
Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care, I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.
How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.
Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.
Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time.

My Dream
This is my dream,
It is my own dream,
I dreamt it.
I dreamt that my hair was kempt.
Then I dreamt that my true love unkempt it

Poem
(Nichita Stanescu)
If one day I were to kiss
the sole of your foot,
wouldn't you limp a little after,
fearing that you might crush my kiss?

Time for some limericks)))I just love them)))I mean limericks in general...
Ogden Nash
A flea and a fly in a flue
Were imprisoned, so what could they do?
Said the fly, "let us flee!"
"Let us fly!" said the flea.
So they flew through a flaw in the flue.
There once was a lady from Hyde,
Who ate a green apple and died,
While her lover lamented,
The apple fermented,
and made cider inside her inside.
There was a young lady from Niger,
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger.
After the ride
She was inside,
And the smile was on the face of the tiger.
