Hi.

I would say "well done" and encourage you to keep going! Intermediate level is a good achievement.

The thing about Turkish is that, for an English speaker say, beginners level is very very hard because everything is so different.

But it is a lot easier once you get to intermediate, because the main difference between int and adv is learning lots of new vocabulary, and correcting your grammatical mistakes. Turkish is both phonetic and regular, so once you learn a new word by looking it up in the dictionary you know how to say it and how to use it.

In short: getting to intermediate was an uphill climb. If you keep working you will find you are now on the downhill slope.

 Çok teşekkürler

can someone please translate this line from Manga´s song Beni Benimle Birak.. i have no idea what ´gaybana´ means and ive asked a lot of people in my family who a natrual turkish speakers and they dont know either...

"su gaybana dünyada Varını, yogunu al, hepsini al da"

 chek the spelling again

may be it is from arabic (EL GUBON) MEANS the fearness

Gayban in arabic means he is fear

for femiminan Gaybana or in arabic accent Gabana she is feeling fear

that is just my guess

Parmakları yemek = [ literally "to eat fingers "] which means " it was so delicious that I ate my fingers" its a saying said after you eat something very delicios.

Yemek o kadar lezzetliydi ki parmaklarımı yedim------> The meal was so delicious that I ate my fingers.

Parmakları yemek =we have in egypt the same experission but sure we are say into arabic
