Quoting ~crissie~:

and all this talk on all the websites, i agree, does make you worry
at one point i read so many bad stories i started to wonder if he really loved me, or if it was just because i am from another country
but now i am sure he loves me and i think that the people who have good experiances dont add antything to thses websites telling us about turkish guys i think its mainly only people who have had bad experiances
bye lol

Well i think Crissie is right. I m one of those who have had only good experiences and memories from Turkey. There i met the one who used to be 'my turk' and though we are not together anymore, i have no regrets about those 2.5 years i spent with him. He tought me so many things and made me a better human being. Maybe i was lucky, i don't know. But i definately disagree with those who believe that every turk is a creep. They do have a heart lan! And when they love, they love! When they fool around, they fool around. Like any other human being in the whole world...

Hi there,
I m Sophie from Greece, 34, divorced for the last 3 years, raising a 6 year old daughter.
Life hasn't been easy for me so far and this has made me tough. I love to be free, independant and ask no favors from anybody. But u know, there comes a moment, when i feel weak...and insecure...and lonely... And then i need somebody to hold my hand, smile to me and tell me that everything is gonna be alright. I look around. Nobody there... What the hell, i ll survive. Don't i always?

Ps: thank u all for being there.

Thread: what do turkish men think of divorced foreign women?

Hey, is it my idea or u r exaggerating? The fact that he is a Turk doesn't mean that he is living in the 15th century. I m sure he can handle ur divorce.
I m also divorced and i have a kid. My friends in turkey have always admired the way i m handling my life, being a mother and a father at the same time. I never realized a sign of disapproval in their behavior. Of course, their beliefs change from region to region and i ve heard that at the anatolian part of turkey, men are more strict. But i ve never met anybody from the eastern part of turkey, so i can't be sure.
I strongly believe that u shouldn't lie to him. Being honest is always better and more appreciated. After all, what do u have to hide?
Take care

Well... this is a song from Def Leppard. "Where Does Love Go When It Dies" its called. Its not my favorite song but i love the lyrics.

Could you ever steal a prayer to deny your god
Could you ever buy your love and not count the cost
Could you ever take a life when all was lost
And would it ever be enough

Could you bite the hand that feeds you and then ask for more
Could you kiss the wound that bleeds spit it on the floor
Could you open up your heart then close the door
And would it ever be enough

Every word you whisper
All the tears you hide
You die for love when it's alive
But where does love go when it dies

If you came across your dream would you walk on by
Hold a candle to the wind and just let it die
And is there room inside your mind for one more try
And would it ever be enough

I watch the time go rushing by it's like an ocean wave
Showing you no mercy throwing dirt upon your grave
You're drowning in the darkness and you're blinded by the light
And there ain't no prayer that's gonna save you now

If you woke up from your sleep blood on your hands
Would you wash the pain away no one understands
There must be someone out there who can help you breathe again
And would it ever be enough

I visited Istanbul, for the first time, 3 years ago. I was a bit scared while going there. As a greek, i was expecting to meet unfriendly people there. Uncivilized, inpolite, etc etc. What i finally found there was amazing. Nice smiling polite people, who made me feel at home. I fell in love. With the city, with the people, with everything! I realized that Turks are so much better than we are. So pure, so friendly...
There is magic in the air. U walk in Istanbul's streets and u feel like u ve always wanted to be there. I can't explain it. And, to be frank, i don't want to.
I m planning to go there again, in 2 weeks. God! i can't wait!
