Hstorians are observers and participants, the works they produce are written from the perspective of their own time and sometimes with due concern for possible lessons for their own future. They gather information regarding the particulars and write what they reason as believable

Many times history is rewritten to reflect new thoughts or particular advantages.

Yeah! thats the truth

Acýyla terbiye etmek için ruhlarýmýzý, kancalara geçirilmiþ bedenlerimizle sallanmaktayken sarkaç misali tavanda, ying ve yeng arasýnda gelip giderken ve araftaki kýsa duraklamlarda nefeslenirken, adýný haykýrmaktaydý herkes kendi sevdiðinin, kendi tanrýsýnýn.

to cultivate our souls with pain, our bodies taken in on hooks

like pendulum on the ceiling , when coming and going between the ying and yang

and when relaxing in the small breaks of purgatory

everybody was shouting out names who they were loving or believing in, their own gods

Orhan Pamuk - The museum of innocence

is about the main character´s debauchery of a much younger cousin and his life´s delusional ordeal of lust and desires that destroys his engagement and wedding plans to another. He spends 9 years in waning , wanting and crying about it. very hot writing and very emotional

Book overview

From the universally acclaimed author of Snow and My Name Is Red, his first novel since winning the Nobel Prize.

It is 1975 in Istanbul. Kemal, thirty, from an upperclass family, is engaged to a girl of like background when by chance he encounters a long-lost relation: Füsun is a shopgirl, an eighteen-year-old beauty who stirs all the passion denied him in a society where sex outside marriage is taboo. Their incandescent liaison will flicker and die when Füsun learns of Kemal’s engagement. But Kemal cannot forget her: he breaks up with his fiancée to pursue Füsun, only to lose her to another man.

For nine years Kemal finds excuses to visit Füsun’s impoverished, conservative marital household, playing the kindly cousin, hoping to lure her back. But Füsun’s heart is hardened. From his visits Kemal will take away nothing but odd personal effects, possessions he will collect and cherish, in the private religion his adoration becomes. His hoard will make him famous—and a laughingstock—in Istanbul society. And when a final chance at happiness is ripped away, all that remains to him is his museum, this map of a society’s rituals and mores, and of one man’s broken heart.

A stirring exploration of the nature of romantic attachment and the strange allure of collecting, this is Orhan Pamuk’s greatest achievement.

SON ÖPÜCÜK

Bu sana veda ederken son bakış, son gülücük,
Bu sana kalbimden kopan son öpücük
Sana yıllar yılı büyüttüğüm aşk
Ne yazık ellerinde artık küçücük

Sandın ki ne yaparsan yap yanındayım ben
Acıyı ihaneti taşımak zorundayım ben
Yapamam gidemem sandın ki vazgeçemem
Artik yalnız geçmişte anındayım ben

Bu sana veda ederken son bakış, son gülücük,
Bu sana kalbimden kopan son öpücük
Sana yıllar yılı büyüttüğüm aşk
Ne yazık ellerinde artık küçücük

Bu sana ilk elvedam son sözlerimdir
Bu sana en içten yazdığım hislerimdir
Ve sana yıllar yılı haykıramadığım gerçek aşkımı bitiren
Gizli sandığın ihanetindir.

The last kiss

This is the last glance, last smile for you
This is the last kiss coming from my heart for you
The love that I have been bringing up for ages
Unfortunately, now, it’s so little

You thought that I’m with you whatever you do
That I have to come over the suffering, unfaithfullness
That I can’t do, I can’t go, you thought that I can’t give up
From now on, I’m only in your past, your memories

This ist he last glance, last smile for you
This is the last kiss coming from my heart for you
The love that I have been bringing up for ages
Unfortunately, now, it’s so little

This is the last goodbye, my last word for you
This is the most sincere feelings that I have ever written
And the reason which finished my love I couldn’t tell you is
The faithfulness you thought it was hidden
