There are bunch of whiners here. Same people really.. Again and again.. {#emotions_dlg.doh}

Many members fed up with those..

This I can´t agree more with you. You are right, but, not all comments or phrases are mandatory to read, and TC members can select from the variety of forums and topics written.

Wife-taming method

Two married buddies are out drinking one night when one turns to theother and says, ´You know, I don’t know what else to do. Whenever I gohome after we’ve been out drinking, I turn the headlights off before I get to the driveway. I shut off the engine and coast into the garage. Itake my shoes off before I go into the house, I sneak up the stairs, I get undressed in the bathroom. I ease into bed and my wife STILL wakesup and yells at me for staying out so late!´

His buddy looks at him and says, ´Well, you’re obviously taking thewrong approach. I screech into the driveway, slam the door, storm up the steps, throw my shoes into the closet, jump into bed, rub my hands on my wife’s butt and say, ‘Hey honey, wanna fool around?’ ´.and she’s always sound asleep.

Kalirsa bir soru- Ahmet ERHAN

 Kalirsa bir soru kalir benden

 Yaniti var midir bilmem

 Denizine, gögüne, topragina

 Uçanina, kaçanina bu dünyanin

 Kalirsa bir soru kalir benden

 Ölüm gelir, gün aksama kavusurken

 Kalirsa bir soru kalir benden

 Yaniti var midir bilmem

 Yazar elim upuzun bir siir

 Söyler dilim içli bir türkü

 Kalirsa bir soru kalir benden

 Gökte yildizdir o, toprakta gömü

 Kalirsa bir soru kalir benden

Bir de üç bes siir, iyi kötü

If anything remains

If anything remains after me, it will only be a question

I  dont even know if it has an answer

If anything remains after me, it will only be a question

To the seas, to the skies, to the soil

To  everybody of this world

And  death comes when the day gives in to the night

If anything remains after me, it will only be a question

I  dont even know if it has an answer

My hand writes a long poem

My tongue sings a soulful folk song

If anything remains after me, it will only be a question

And It is a star in the sky, a burial in the soil.

If anything remains after me, it will only be a question

In addition, good or bad  a few poems.

My try as always.

Quoting Moimonta

Merhaba

I´m not sure if I should post this here, or in the language section, so forgive me if I chose the wrong subforum for this (moderators, please move if needed?)

My experience is that listening to music is a good way and fun to get familiar with the sounds and words in a language. Our local library has a great archive of Turkish music, but it´s waaaay to much for me to know where to start looking. I´m sad to say my current knowledge of Turkish singers doesn´t reach much further than Tarkan .

So now I´m looking for a list of [well known/popular] Turkish artists, of which people think they are worth listening to. Preferably those who sing in a clear voice/not too difficult lyrics.. It would also be a great way for e to get to know more about the Turkish music culture .

I listen to almost any type of music, from traditional to popular, disco to rock, Jazz to rap, so anything goes, as long as the artist produces good work.

Does anyone have some suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it.

Çok teşekkürler,

Moi!

I would recommend Sezen Aksu , Yeni Turku, Nilufer, Fikret Kizilok, Bulent Ortacgil..

Ah but if you insist to listen to music from semi arabesque  singers such as Rafet el roman, Serdar Ortac etc, I would recommend go into the real ones like Umit besen, Ferdi Ozbegen, Ferdi Tayfur etc.. lol

Cool

The key word in your sentence is ´sales´

Just shows compliments = commission for her lol

You are soo wrong Insallah!!

It turned out to be she is not a sale´s girl at all.. She is the deputy manager of the store.. No commision is involved it seems!!!!

And she thinks that the frames she has in her house, will make me "double handsome". I was invited to her house to try them

woohoo..
