Hmmm maybe they teach it in the folklore section.

lol

I think that theory was abandoned very quitely as soon as Ataturk died.

It is considered as the ´romantic nationalism´ from that era.  It was a kind of reactional response to European historians about the Turkish history at the time.

No, it is not different language but your lacking knowledge of how Ottoman Turkish written in Arabic Alphabet. Here are some examples from the poem above:  درددن is drddn and should be read as derdden. The biggest problem of Ottoman Turkish is that vowels are often omited and you have to guess the word from the consonants. رب  = rb is rab and بر  = br is bir. Why not rb is rib and br is bar?  دم = dm is dem. - dn in the end of the word  عشقدن  is the Turkish ablative suffix -dan. It would be -den according to vowel harmony in some another word but yet would be written -dn. Strange? Funny? Or what?

Not using vowels also caused a lot of common errors. One of them is cürüm in this saying: "ateş olsa cürmü kadar yer yakar." Cürüm should be cirim but because both word written in the same way (crm) people changed cirim (volume) to cürüm (crime) which makes the saying sound absurd but no one is aware of this absurdness.

Well

I dont think that is the point here. They could have decided to write the Ottoman in Orhon script and the result would be the same.

The point people trying to make is not very complicated:

There were  ´imposed revolutions´ during the first years of our republic.

The approach was from top to bottom.

The language revolution resulted in Turkish people having a cultural  cut off with their past.

Simple as that.

i have question i jew from israel and i love turkey.

in turkey hate jews or israel?

Good question.

In my view, many mix the things up and they associate Israel and its policies with jews.

So, despite the fact that many would insist they are not anti-semite, but they dont like jews that much.

Hopefully it will change in the coming years.

A good article to read about the subject: http://jcpa.org/article/the-slow-disappearance-of-turkeys-jewish-community/

Kardes Turkuler - Sevdayla uslandi gonlum

Lyrics:

serdim yollarina gönlüm atlasini
heyhat, aldanmisim, bagladi ask kapisini
yol ver, yol ver
birak gönül, bos ver

sevdayla uslandi gönlüm, geç git üstünden
sitem etmem kimselere, geçtim kendimden

açar gönülde bir çiçek, duyulmaz sesi
büyür ha büyür yürekte sevda dikeni
yol ver, yol ver
birak gönül, bos ver
